Flixonase is safe for use if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, but only if your doctor recommends it. You should also consult your doctor before using this medication if you are taking other medications, especially blood thinners (anticoagulants), antidepressants, or drugs used to treat HIV/AIDS.

Flixonase Nasal Spray works by reducing the inflammation in your nose lining, preventing the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as runny or blocked nose, itching of the nose or throat, and eye symptoms (itching or watery eyes). It can be taken at any time of day, including after meals, but should not be used more than twice a day. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions for use, and if you're not sure how to use the nasal spray ask your doctor to show you. Before using, the bottle should be primed by pumping it into the air a few times until a fine mist is produced. Once you've done this, shake the bottle gently before each use.
