What does linearity mean in the settings? For lean specifically

Linear means a straight line from not leaned to full lean. Think of a diagonal line in a box starting from bottom left to upper right as right turn input. Non-linear is when you change the shape of that line so it eases into the application of lean lightly then gradually gets heavier. Fortunately, DCS has a way to do that built right in called "axis tune" which helped me understand and to also show you! This picture shows a non-linear profile starting from the middle of the box for the X axis(usually ailerons). That diagonal line has been bent into an "s" shape to gradually increase gain. It makes a big difference in smooth vs. shaky control inputs. You could try moving it around and see how different it feels for yourself too! :o
