The last 2 versions I've had a really low frame rate, where it used to play at 60fps in Beta 3.
Spec-
AMD A10-7850K
R9 280X overclock edition
16gb ram
I know it ain't the best computer, but it surely shouldn't be struggling
I've found the most recent 2 betas have improved performance for me..
Always with this kind of thing, make sure graphics drivers are up to date.. If it's a laptop make sure it's set to run using the graphics card rather than onboard graphics..
There is a bug in the code that slows down rendering on AMD cards.
Work on the fix is in progress.
In the meantime, please make sure that the graphics drivers are update to the latest official version.
Ahhh, I was wondering. I can put the settings on the lowest or the max and my fps stays a little low.
Tell you what, I only updated my drivers 3 weeks ago, but the most recent ones has fixed it. Awesome :D
Something I don't understand is I seem to lag on MXB, but while I'm playing the game my GPU usage and temp stays around 50%. My processor is also at a pretty low usage. I have plenty of power so I'm not sure why MXB won't put any stress on my GPU..... ???

What graphics card do you have?
Same my system does the same, running a gtx 1050 ti
Just out of interest guys, norcal and Damo. what ram do you all have?

there shouldn't be any lag with that Gpu, I use a gtx750ti with an I7 CPU and get to my limit of 60fps with the highest graphics settings and 3d grass on all tracks except for one. I have noticed with this game that anything less that 60fps looks laggy, even 50fps.
Sometimes graphics card settings can have a huge impact on certain games, for example I increased my X-Plane 10 framerate 20fps just by disabling "threaded optimization" in the graphics card settings.
Also in some scenarios a standard HDD can bottleneck the entire system, If the GPU and CPU are using less than 50% of their power then check the HDD to see if it is using 100% , If it is than it is a sign that a slow harddrive is preventing the system from running fast. An SSD is the fix for a system bottlenecked by a HDD.

strange indeed.
Ya, I hope its just the known AMD bug that is being fixed.
What IS this bug? How much does it impact performance? If I look at the edge of a track, it's 60FPS (V-Synced), a bit of riding 30'ish, which is playable, and online it will go down a bit more when seeing other people. MXBC Compound seems to be particularly hard on the FPS too.
CPU: i7 920
GPU: R9 R290 4GB
RAM: 6GB
I know the CPU is pretty old, but it's still decent. It can run games like GTA V, Battlefield and The Witcher without any problems. Even with everything maxed out it does not seem to bottleneck the GPU too much.
The game is currently installed on an HDD, not one of the SSDs tho. But that should only affect loading times, unless the game is badly coded and keeps reading from disk during play.

I noticed the frame rate going down too even aftermaxing out the settings.
I have have some kind of weird laggs in test tracks and few other tracks, everything is updated i have GTX 1060.
