Title: JS7 Practice session - Sept 11th.
Post by: Asdrael on September 10, 2016, 01:30:50 PM
Heya.

Wanted to organize as a bit of an incentive to all play together an online session tomorrow (so Sunday September 11th) at
- 9pm CEST (Berlin, D)
- 8pm BST (London, UK)
- 3pm EDT (New York, USA)
- Noon PDT (San Fransisco, USA).

Hopefully I didn't mix up the time zones ;)

It will be held on the GTX 2 server running the JS7 Practice track.

IMPORTANT: You need the track from HERE (http://forum.mx-bikes.com/index.php?topic=1260.0) and the bike pack from HERE (http://forum.mx-bikes.com/index.php?topic=1241.0). Skin packs are optional, but if you want to see me and TFC in all our glory you will need the CRF HRC bike skins (http://www.mxb-central.com/2016-fox-360/) and the FOX packs 1 (http://forum.mx-bikes.com/index.php?topic=1179.0) and 2 (http://forum.mx-bikes.com/index.php?topic=1188.0).

TFC and I will be there. If some of you want to, I don't mind "coaching" a bit on the SX tracks so you figure those out faster.

Hope to see you there!

Looking forward to it :)

And if people want after a fun practice session  we could have a little fun race on the nat loop..

Rant over :)

Yeah, that is on the renowned "to do list".

Wipe your bike folder, DL the pack I listed in the first post and you should be golden.

It has been on GPB's todo list for the past 5 years, so you'd better get comfy waiting :)

Don't get me started ;) The online interface needs a ton of work to make it more friendly.

Didn't manage to grab any good footage as the lag /glitching was too much, but had a blast with you all!

MaX, sorry I haven't replied to your mxbc contact email yet, I've started a new job and am strugling to find time to sort site problems, that and it hasn't been used in so long, I'm actually tempted to close it down :(

Don't worry, I've downloaded the full pack (it was on Google Drive).

I know that taking care of MXBC eats up a lot of time, that's why I initially suggested to go with something lighter.
For GPB we have a person taking care of a Mega page with all the bikes + upload to an FTP (to which you can use something liker SyncBack to sync), both updated only every 15 days. Server admins stick to what's on the Mega/FTP, so that there's a smaller risk to have the missing/mismatch problem. Then we have a different person for tracks (more or less in the same way).
