http://mx-bikes.com/?page=downloads (http://mx-bikes.com/?page=downloads)Notes:
- Tick the OpenAL redistributable box when installing, otherwise you might not hear any sound.
- Make sure you calibrate your controller before trying to assign axis! (Calibration button at the top of Settings>Input page)
- You can change your race name and number in Profiles
- If you purchase a license, to race online you must register here:
http://stats.mx-bikes.com/register.php (http://stats.mx-bikes.com/register.php)
Leave 'Old Nickname' field empty if it's your first registration. - If you are using an XBOX 360 pad, you might find it useful to put this file in the MX Bikes/plugin folder to allow the triggers axis to be split:

The 3rd person camera needs a major overhaul, it's very difficult to tell whats happening with the bike because it appears to be following his head?.

This is now a known problem. It shouldn't happen all the time though... You still can't connect to any servers?
Happened to me a few times but I was eventually able to connect.
Hey Snappe that plugin to split the axes doesn't seem to be working. Also, how do I set up the directory for bikes and tracks? Wanting to get a track in game but can't figure it out.
You might have to recalibrate and reassign axis for the plugin to work.
As for tracks, have you looked at the track creation guide?

Followed that but it's not showing up in game. There's no tracks folder so I just made one.
Ah yes you have to make a tracks folder initially.
If you have downloaded the example track files, you can copy the included example track folder into MX Bikes/tracks to get an idea.

I think you are missing an .ini file
Oh, and you don't need to include the tht & hmf files!
And don't forget to put in gate.edf :)
I was missing the ini and gates. Ha. Thanks man.

I'm using a ps4 controller and Mx Bikes sees the L2/R2 as buttons instead of axis. So, when playing this game i have no throttle control or braking control just full throttle or no throttle and same for braking. How do i fix this? I know there is a fix for mxs http://forum.mxsimulator.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=26586 , but not sure if this would work the same for Mx Bikes.

Either find the right drivers or just turn on smooth to 100% to help.
EDIT- The ps4 controller is DirectInput instead of Xinput. There's not much you can do there unless piboso knows of something.
i cant seem to get sound now lol
Hello,
I tried the demo yesterday evening during about 20 minutes.
I like it:) I noted really fast that we need to use manual rider movements.
I play in 3rd person view and all seems correct and playable.
I was hearing the moto3qualif during mx session and the sound was really the same in both.
The jumps cannot be taked like a doom full gaz, you need to balance the pilot and play with the throttle fo r having a good landing.
I didn't play an mx game since before 2000 amx i don't ride in real life, so i don't have any reference.
I note that there is the same problem as gpbikes with the front wheel:(
I have had a really good time and will buy it as soon as i have the money to do it.
Thanks piboso and Co.
Another good simulation.
PS: i play with a ps3 pad.

There is a solution that works
perfectly. Here is my post from the gpbikes forum:
QuoteI have found a solution to the problem of not being able to obtain analogue triggers for throttle & front brake in gpbikes using the impressive PS4 pad.
Just download and install the utility "DS4 Windows DSDCS Build (1.5.3.16283)" via the following link:
http://dsdcs.com/portfolio/software-development/4-ds4windows
I have just tested it on gpbikes and the analogue triggers work perfectly. You don't even have to create a new profile..just start up & run the utility whilst playing gpbikes and it should work perfectly. It also works just as well when using a PS4 pad on mx bikes.
Problem solved I think.
grT ;)
P.S. I also found a solution that worked using CronusMax but I suspect no one here has a CM adapter.
UnquoteHope that helps!
