Is that actually an in game fall or is that edited?? I'm intrigued to see what the crashes are like in comparison to MX Simulator but can't get on my computer for a couple weeks(posted this on my phone)

That was something I wanted to do make I opened the thread today on custom models.

How does it work, does it just go into the helmet folder you want it on?

Agreed, stealing other artists work and putting your name on it with a quick stroke PS layer effect isn't going to make it yours, so don't claim it to be yours.

No. I told the GoPro was made from scratch. That's it. I wanted a GoPro helmet so I made it. And maybe some other could be interested, that's why I decided to release something.

I wouldn't say I am really new to "modding", that Honda that I posted, I can actually say is mine... Idk what communities/games you are from, but even in real life, stealing someone else's work without permission and "re-working" is frowned upon. It would be fine if it was released free content, but those helmets are from a game that gave you no right to them. Kinda like stealing the art off the wall from the art show and then claiming it to be yours. You get it?

Ruts! There were some canyons on some jumps faces, If you got anywhere near them it made the rider and bike throw some amazing moves but mostly landed with the head making first contact lol

Nice! I too am loving the new rider animations.

One thing I am loving too is the deformation. Finally we don't have to draw ruts, so we can focus on other track details that would normally be obscured by ruts on a well ridden track!

What retro gear is good? I remember loads from being a kid but can't find any consistent reference pictures of any..  Gdub had a go at making me some old Axo gear a few months back but I think it was held back by the lack of reference pictures  :(

Would be good to know some names of some gear, what years, front and back pictures.. Not sure how anyone is supposed to find this stuff!

Well, I've seen a couple images of Thor gear used by Jeff emig in 96. Light green, purple and black but I think it isn't enough as refernce. We could make the most accuracy possible but imo it isn't necessary to do exactly replicas. I'm still thinking that piboso's model is a KTM...the power of the imagination.:p

I probably won't do a 500 with this model. The 500 has a different frame and plastics. KX500 is different from the 250 and 125 as well btw. I don't know when I will release, I've been super busy at work. I don't plan on releasing before it's finished though. Don't want a release , then fix 50 things fiasco.

Damn they look awesome. Particularly fond of the first one - somehow the shadows are perfectly aligned with the sun position and objects, plus the rider positions look realistic...

Problem with the screenshots on the SX tracks is that without any ground objects on those practice tracks it's difficult to know where and what happens. But this national track really is screenshot-land

Finally got my skins ready for GTX lol.. Only half a week late! Will be releasing public versions at some point if anyone wants them. Love a bit of skinning so spent a lot of time on the rider and glove norms. Would make a skin for the TLD se33 helmet, but the replay cam doesn't work on it  :(

Yep!

The deformation in Beta 5 is a huge advancement and beautiful indeed! I hope Pibs/Snappe know that we can see the great work that went into b5. 

I love putting my grass layer at .01 depth and carving my own paths, so fun!

You've definitely got the ability to make some cool looking and different environments. I've not tried the track yet, been really busy, but would definitely like to see more track orientated shots for the future. Maybe something from higher up..

A screenshot of my edition of Monster Energy Kawasaki kx250f Paint and some other pics.

Note: Credit to whoever made the Aerial Fractal paint for the 2017 kx250f OEM bike since I used it as a template to make this skin. I re-did bike decals myself and some part colors so as too look somewhat different from the original.  The Wheel is from Aeropixel paint so credit to them too. Thanks I hope you like it.

how did you do a nacnac?
I believe its "G" by default, but I got it set to circle button on ps4 controller.  In settings 2nd input below tearoffs, its labeled "? ? ? ?"

I think the waist is too high.. or at least the way the model bends. Also I think the rider has his trousers (pants) up round his nipples haha, could do with the trousers sitting just under the hips, but it looks like they're above the hips at least when he bends forward. Would look miles better..

Just wanted to say, I'm abosultely loving the whip physics of B7. Massive thanks to PiBoSo & Snappe, it's so corked and the riders so much more flexible and forgiving. The hips are perfectly positioned and the shoulders and head angle are so well done, the way they follow the landing. Love it!

You need a full black alpha channel on your skin. If you've just edited an existing one, you have to save it as 32bit targa to enable the alpha channel.

What?
The actual gear doesn't need an alpha channel. The normal map's alpha channel is what makes the gear shiny or not.
gear: 24bit tga
norm: 32bit tga (alpha channel determines shininess, white is full shine, black is no shine)

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Would you be able to break that down for me a little more? I'm using gimp and I'm still very much a novice at it. I see an alpha channel to my right side but have no idea how it works.
