Any chance we could get a small explanation on the chassis stiffness values you are using? Since your bike model is supposed to be steel frame, I guess it's "soft" at least compared to aluminium frame ?

Edit: improved server interface, thanks :)

Who says this Saturday night we try and get a huge race going? Say Winchester or whatever, full gate. Full graphics, replay buffer etc? Try and really push the load to see what happens? After all that's how we test this stuff, I remember doing it in beta 2 to see what would happen.

Edit, almost forgot. Thanks Piboso, appreciate the hard work mate. Haven't played it yet but will do tomorrow, you've got a nice habit of releasing betas really late at night in the UK. Hahah thanks again

I can't wait until the download is finished. Replay rotation and engine mapping support are on the top of the list right next to LAN. Thank you Piboso!!   :)

So do all the bikes need updating? im using just the stock, and i have to say you can definitely noticed the new tweaks!

All bikes work without the new chassis flexing setting.

From 15min of testing on the OEM YZF450 with and without this parameter, I think I can feel a difference. The bike is less twitchy and behaves more smoothly (especially in terms of traction) with chassis flexibility in.

I'll update all the OEMs as soon as possible, but I would also like to include engine maps + possibily different flexibility values in depending on how the frame in made (if I can find a range to work with, otherwise, all with use stock values). Gimme a couple of days.

Just have to do the actual curves now and find a compromise for bikes that don't have preprogrammed maps but rather a flexible toolkit. Going to be based on that most likely:

Until we get a good few people on a server with it enabled we won't know, it's always worked but caused constant cores for random people. The WRS report sounds promising though.

Kind off.. That's why I said 'fully' working..

It always worked, but it only worked for those who joined the session before deformation had happened. Joining a session where the track was already deformed would give you maximum 2 minutes of riding time before a crash ;)

Either way, should be on tonight to see!

You only see servers if you have the corresponding track. Also, we have found that there is a SM track that renames Forest so it gives a track mismatch (lol?). As for the bikes, be careful that you have the latest versions of all bikes and you pick the correct one for each server. We are a few on forest atm and it requires stock MSM bikes.

Preliminary multiplayer report:
- No core.exe when joining a server with deformation already running for a bit after at least 10 mins.
- Bike movement seems to be smoother
- Still a 1s freeze or so when someone connects. I guess it's because we load his ghost bike. Possible to change so people logging on use YOUR ghost instead, and you load all when you go back to pits?
- Still some warping to be seen (I'm connecting to a US server from the EU).

Overall, it's improved greatly. But there is equivalent room for improvement still ;)

That's a mistake. The installer doesn't overwrite some files.

IF you never messed around with your .pkz and installed mods normally, you should:
- delete everything in your install folder except the folders: tracks, rider, tyres and bikes (so you don't have to re-DL mods).
- delete everything in C:\Users\...\Documents\PiBoSo\MX Bikes EXCEPT LICENSE.INI KEEP THAT IT S IMPORTANT!!

Then, install.

I really don't know, sorry :/

Just did a race with 8 people on FTT with OEM bikes. Deformation and collision on. Smooth as a baby's bottom (except I got TBone to death the first few turn, thanks Vortex :p ). One "bug" that I think was introduced with Beta6 is that when other people jump, we see them flying. The best way to explain would be that as soon as they take-off, they only have half the gravity. They have a normal flight curve, but they go too high and too far... until they land on their computer. Then on our screen, they stop mid air and warp to the ground.

I saw that too.. I've only ever seen that before when people core.

Yes the deformation was working so well! Really happy about that.

So is it me, or has cornering on a bank had some love? I found inside rut / berms grabbed me and pulled me around, rather than me having to pussyfoot around them.

It was either a new fix, running deformation, the chassis flex, asdraels yzf setup or I don't know what.. Either way, very cool 8)

Yea the track you rode earlier had about 50 odd laps run on it before maybe even more :D he did some insane riding  and really pushed the tracks.. ruts rode so smooth and everything handeled pretty well.. you get some blinking of riders and the bug with rider being thrown into the air, still a super fun time we had and wow the game is so much better with multiplayer deform :D

Ok so we played Washington last night for an hour and it was amazing. The deformation in the corners is what I was experiencing when I said the handling had improved. I haven't played with deformation on since beta 3 so was not used to it!

Really, really great job fixing the deformation problem pib, just wanted to say thanks! :)

I take it you are the dude from my YouTube channel? If you have an issue with your licence key then you need to contact Piboso. No one on the forum will give or buy you a key I'm afraid, we have all paid for our keys to be part of the development process. It's a huge investment if you buy into the game now as you will get it for a cheaper price vs the first version may.

EDIT: Im always seeding Mxbikes torrent and have a great upload speed.

I've not said anything about beta 6 on the forums yet. I really need to say this though.

Even though the multiplayer jumping is worse than before. The online deformation is awesome. I love it, so good. I also remember Piboso saying 'no major physics fixes' but holy fuck this chassis flex is what Mx Bikes needed. This game just got 100 times better. It feels incredibly realistic and there are way less frustrating 'bugs' now.

Thanks a lot for releasing beta 6 so quickly. Absolutely love it. Can't wait for better multiplayer and a big outdoor series with 40+ man races.

So i should leave the stability at 100% and just change my direct lean for a better feel? For sx i like my sorect lean at 100 but outdoors i tend to put it at 80. But the bike seems to handle better in the air when i set the stability to 75.. anyone else got any thoughts on stability?

Ya direct lean I never could handle at 100%.

I keep it at 28%.

I just hate having the stick in 100% direct control of the bike for whatever reason. I like to "flick" it :)
I always rode on 100% myself, just bumped it down a bit to 75. It's just what ur used to and what you like yourself. I can't handle a direct lean around 25%.

Piboso, have you changed anything air physics wise? Because it feels a lot better now. If you didn't do anything it's probably another thing that chassis flex helped with to get better.

This still kinda sucks though! haha
