but, lets ramble about an idea I have and how it will or won't ever work. ahahha
1)FORGET A.I.
2)We do have GHOST..
3)Allow multiple ghosts
4)Allow ghosts to be updated with other rider's ghost..
5)race the hell out of faster riders ghost.. up to maybe 5?
sounds fun? seems easy enough for a back seat dev to dream up with ZERO dev experience..so its obviously a great idea ?! lulz

It is already possible to save a trainer and load others ( up to 10 ) from disk.
The trainers' folder is: "My Documents"\PiBoSo\Kart Racing Pro\profiles\"profile name"\trainers\

My only problem with the the ghost, and especially multiple, is that you typically take the same line so it would look a bit goofy, and I personally just find the ghost distracting. I think it would be cool if when you started a lap, the ghost replay was 2-3 seconds ahead, so you were chasing it rather than having it appear and disappear around you.
Just curious, how would you go about training ai and adding them? What makes it so difficult?

it's about using data from other players to run multiple ghost..similar to a.i. (but much more competitive for offline/training

Ahhhhhhhh, gotcha. The only problem there is that fast guys are not going to post their ghost's because, well, this is intended to be a a sim and competitive, and people keep any secret lines or choices just that, a secret. Just my opinion. On MXS,you don't see Tysen showing everyone how he's so fast. I just think the online community needs to grow, and screw ghost's.
I'm hindsight Norcal, yeah that fine..but how often I there people always online? How often can you play online without people disappearing or warping about.? Badstar has a great idea and it will give people who prefer that singleplayer element something closer to what they want. And about your secret lines point.. That isn't a great point tbh haha, the real pros all ride practice at a track together and take video of eachother to see where who is fastest.. There is no secrets, you just have to learn those other guys lines and then it comes down to pure skill and speed.lets be honest, stone can post his ghost but there is no chance in hell a guy like me will be able to figure out his speed then match it. Hahh

Don't complain about a game without playing the hell out of it first. A lot of people do that with Mx Bikes, which causes it to have such a small community atm.

Went through more videos and all looks same to me.
I HATE(d) mxgp series... Until I played about 3/4 of a season in MXGP3 I really like that game (for what it is), a championship mx specific.. nothing more. Beautiful track/dirt/weather/deform and if you ride 1st person w/ manual gearing the game sounds pretty realistic.. Took me a half championship to see the real quality.

There are some limitations with the ghosts.. Me and gdub tried to share ghosts before and it crashed when you loaded them. I'm not sure why, I think we even tried sharing all paints used..
Try it. Someone share a ghost and see if others can use it.

apparently I don't know how to add a trainer..
i put his file in the trainer folder..
in-game, went to "add trainer" and its blank.
Im using multiple trainers/ghosts for a better offline experience since beta4.
A good A.I. is alot of work and still will be to slow :) (e.g. mxgp3). Adding a new trainer is a real pain in the a**, because you always have to improve your time. It would be much easier if you could even add a slower time! Specially if you want to make more realistic "battles" between the trainers.
To have an awesome offline race experience
Add a new "Race Trainers"-Tab in the menu.
Create your own "Race Trainers" for each track: You picking your starting gate (15secs board) ride your first round and the second. The second round will be looped, when the trainer is crossing the finish line. Than create the next one, with seeing the other trainers on the gate and so on.. That should be possible without development time Piboso doenst have. :)
Have fun in a race with up to XX trainers. ;D
*and add a selection to show the trainers in the replay and add a share function
Oh btw that would be awesome for each of your games ::)
To make that even better - in a few years
Add a simple A.I. to the trainers (if that is even possible - dont know), with collision but without deformation. (Deformation would cause to many problems)

He could push out a fast pack ghost/a.i. with the updates..
Take the top 10 riders ghosts, they come with an update and you have them as ai to race. Just a thought

Wait what? At the moment it is not possible, it's just a concept. I hope that Piboso has the time at some point to make something like offline races against your own ghosts.
