Quote* GPB / WRS / KRP / MXB: completed support for the animated flags

Please could we get a quick run down on how to create animated flags? Thanks :)

From the Beta7 release notes: "or examples of animated flags, please check the SCR files in Holjes and Nevada".

Pib, I've checked the SCR files.. What is flag.cfg, where does it go and what does it contain?

Do you just make a plane subdevided and triangulated?

Thanks

PiBoSo - I'd love to use 3d flags on my upcoming track, but I still have no idea how to make the object and I can't find any trace of flag.cfg. Can you provide a quick tutorial on how to do this? Thanks

There is no need to create a new object.
In the SCR track file, adding an asterisk to the obj name loads one of the shared flags in the "misc/flags" directory. Otherwise, the model is loaded from the track folder.
The "data" file is read from the same directory of the flag.

OK I will take a look when I get home.

Am I able to model my own flag for different shapes/types? I would like to if possible. Thanks 😊
