I got my copy of the game on Steam by putting the key like you said to do it, but the game won't start.

Could you try right clicking on MX Bikes > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files

It had to be cause i went to the exe file on steam folder and when i clicked it gave an error. I searched in the internet and nothing worked. So i had to install windows again. But know it's working fine :)
