I've been playing MXS for 4 years or so, that is my only PC gaming experience. Is it better to buy from Steam? Are mods and skins the same process either way?
Is there a list of mods that are most widely used?
If you are also into MXS, what are some useful tips?

the modding process is the same for both, and steam is much more convenient for updates
the OEM pack ( http://forum.mx-bikes.com/index.php?topic=1979.0 ) is a necessity at this point
you can find more mods/paints here on the forum or ( https://mxb-mods.com/ ) , just use some common sense (ie dont dl something for a 2016 rmz and wonder why it doesnt work on a 2021 ktm, super old posts, etc) and you'll be good :)

My game crashes when I try to join race servers, is this common?
Just now when I opened back up all my user data was gone in game!!! All my settings and kits are there but none are saved.
Frustrating.
