Myself and a couple friends bought the game a few days ago. When in public servers and someone connects my game freezes for 5 - 10 seconds every time and when it unfreezes im usually dead and off the track, this doesn't happen to all of us though only some so i was wondering what causes this or if there is a fix? Thanks
It's a known problem the devs are working on.

Ah okay thankyou!
Any update on this? I have played bikes on 2 different computers, on all sorts of wifi networks, ethernet... and it is not an issue with computer performance, i have a 1660ti and 24gb of ddr4 3200 ram. im just very burnt out of losing hot laps on the last corner because someone joins lol
I have the same problem, bought the game 2 days ago.

Thanks for info!
Just started online as well, and the freezing up almost every lap is pretty much game breaking.
To this day it still happens, it is very annoying that you are fighting for position in the race and someone connects or disconnects to the track and the game freezes for 5-10 seconds, it is true that it only happens to some and it is not known. Why, the developers should make queue events, so that when you stop at 0 or fall on your own, the new players who have joined the track will load you there, so that it is not so annoying for those of us who are already running and having good times on the track.
While you're in any session but the race you will get freezing when someone joins the server unless you turn the texture details sliders to full in graphics settings.
When in a race, new riders who join the server will only be spectators. So the same does not apply during races.
