MX BIKES - CUSTOM RIDER MODEL V090

PAY2021 RIDER V090

Custom rider model version 090

Features:

-Male and female.

-Compatible with MXB native mods and animations.

Bugs:

-Some little texturing issues in the hands.

-Main menu character, the neck looks long but is normal in track.

-Jersey name in some fonts have an issue just in long shots, mostly time it works well



Installation:

***Do not install on MODS FOLDER!!!***


Unpack and copy the contents to

"Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MX Bikes"


The rider fully works with default and mods suits, helmets, boots, etc.

To access to your SUITS PAINTS you have to copy all your gloves and paints to:

(IF YOU WANT JUST A FEW SKINS JUST COPY THE ONES YOU WANT NOT NECESSARILY ALL SKINS)

MX Bikes - New rider model, yes, from sratch, body done, is tallest bcs the default rider is too small i think.
Next is make the UVW to work with the default rider paints.

Working on that, i already fit the rider pose, taller is not working so i reduce the size a little to fit the skeleton.

Thanks man, i really apreciated it.

Im still learning Blender, i used to 3D Max and rigging in Blender is different, also this uvw takes forever, but is on rails.

I anxious waiting to the feature that you can choose the rider type, like GP Bikes, so i can make regular people as characters.

Beta 16, the rider is at 90% and ready for release.

I just need to make it work on Beta 17.

Great work pay!
You are a great help to this community when you make original stuff so I am very happy to see this amazing progress.

Looks very realistic and it working with the normal rider PSD is great as well.
Ill be eagerly anticipating release :)

Huge thanks to Piboso for this feature, the rider is now at rigging 90%, uvw map 90%.

Still i need to figure how to use the default paints without have to copy them twice. I figure that and i gonna release it.

haha damn i just tried adding a new rider and got it working, thought you were still at that point :D
glad you got it sorted though!

I tried to link my rider to the default one but apparently there is no possibility to link a rider model mod to an existing one.

Yes, i tried a couple of things but apparently this is the only way at the moment. In my case, copy the gloves and paint folder twice, in default rider and in my rider.

Everything this in the main folder to fully work, not mods folder.

Looks promising! Probably too late but I hope you paid attention to lower leg being smaller so we can have normal sized boots and not stretched ones.

Good point!! I can edit the model, we can have zillion of riders characters now, maybe one more skinny and one regular in the boots part; but still i will like to have one that work with the "regular" mods so maybe i go in that way and take your advice.

It will be nice to have a rider model that doesn't look like Ricky Carmichael on weight watchers.

cool to see a new rider model in progress. but i cant help but to suggest the model you are working on looks a bit overweight, even compared to the current rider model. in my opinion, i think a more lean rider represents modern mx/sx, especially with more form fitting gear than what Stewart wore in the photo you uploaded.

when i think of modern rider body shape and form, i cant help but to think of riders such as Chase Sexton, barcia and Anderson and the more "form fitting" gear which tends to make the rider look more lean than the more baggy, loose fitting gear. just my two cents

Hey Pay I was wondering how you got the default rider rig. I'm looking to try and create my own rider model and I'm not sure where I need to start. Do I need to download a rig and create a model around it, or just cerate the model and rig from scratch and match it to the default animations?

What I learned, and what happens is: you have to model the rider around the old rider or around the skeleton.
The original rider, both mesh and skeleton are available for download on this forum.
Why? you can make a rider 7 feet tall or 2 feet tall, but what happens, and this is the question, the animations that come by default already have coordinates of the "old" bones so if your rider is 7 feet tall, at the time to "land" the bones will return to the coordinates of the original rider, UNLESS, you import your own animations. What about the animations? We do not have official information of the .ANM files. I had one that I collected myself, what animation number does such a thing, for example animation1 is the rider standing still, 2 is lean left, etc. What is missing is the frame ranges and how many animations each ANM file has, because in some cases you have more than one animation.

This is ready, but I still have the same problem, it only works completely if it is installed in the Main/Steam folder and not in the MODS folder and also you have to copy the paints three times, one for the default rider, and two for the custom riders, male and female.

What I do?

Don't seem to be able to get any glove or rider paints to work when copying all my paints to the male rider? I have them working now but only by renaming the male folder to the default one, I might stick with this if I prefer the model to stock.

I talk with Piboso and he says it will be fixed in Beta 18c.

The original idea, according to what I interpret, is that each new character can use or not the existing skins, it depends on the model and what the modeler wants or looks for. I particularly in this case, map the model so that it can use the skins already made by the users.
But it doesn't necessarily have to have the same mapping.
In the future I would like to make more characters, for example with jeans and a shirt or t-shirt, etc. but for that you should use a new uvw, for example for the neck and sleeves, and so on. I hope I was clear.

Love the new model.  it gives some scale to ole Moto Joe.  i had to uninstall though...  other player's models in online play display a bit mismatched from their bikes and it was driving me a bit nuts.  this is a great start to something cool though! good job!
