Title: Saving maps to objects (norm,rough,spec...)
Post by: kawirider276 on January 12, 2022, 04:10:43 AM
Hey all!

I know this has been talked about before but I never really found a solid answer so I figured I'd just save the week of looking around for what to do and just ask lol, but my question is how do you properly save objects with a normal map? (and/or other maps if possible?)  I've been slowly learning blender and started getting into working with normal maps and roughness maps on objects, I have the ground textures pretty understood at this point, so I moved onto the objects for a bit more realism.  I have everything working in blender but when I export and convert everything all my normals end up not doing anything, does it have to do with file naming?  I know that can be a bit sensitive or could it be something I need to do in blender?

-Thanks a bunch guys!
(I can't express how much help you all have given!!)

You need to have a shader file just like you do on terrain normal maps.
