i know you can adjust your dude with shift+c and the up and down arrow keys, but my down arrow key doesn't work. is there another way to scoot my guy back without the down arrow key?

The obvious answer would be to spend a Twenty or so on a keyboard. Otherwise, there are 3 tabs in the menu for Input. See if one of them is for "seat position" or whatever the label is and reassign it to a working key. If it doesn't, it looks like you'll be low ridin'. 8)
