Bikes / Re: SuperMoto BikeMod v1.0
February 26, 2018, 03:29:25 PM
Love the bikemod, just feel like the mod is crazy big to load into a server? I can't seem to connect to a server using this bikemod. Maybe any other issues that i'm missing thats preventing me to connect? I was able to connect once but after that never again... When connecting to a server with just the default supermoto, it works fine. (btw i'm using LAA hack)

Sup guys, haven't played this game for a long time and was looking to participate in this. Can anyone tell me what bikes are the fastest or are the stock ones still as good as the modded bikes?

It takes a long time to load.  1-3min for me every time. Then it should be loaded completely.

Yes tail, the inside knee should come a bit higher than compared to the kneehight when driving on the dirt.

No idea, check all your settings again I would say. Otherwise I wouldn't know the problem.

You have to create those folders yourself.

Tutorial example coming straight from http://www.mxb-central.com/tutorial/skinning-tutorial-and-templates/

Example,

Create a directory structure in the MX Bikes install folder:

bikes
   350xf
      paints
rider
   paints
   boots
   gloves
   helmets
      default
         paints

Copy the .pnt file into the correct folder.

For example, a rider kit .pnt would go in:
MX Bikes/rider/paints

A helmet .pnt would go in:
Mx Bikes/rider/helmets/default/paints

A bike livery .pnt would go in:
bikes/350xf/paints

Note: You may find that in your MX Bikes directory you might not have folders that say "bikes" or "tracks", instead you have "bikes.pkz or track.pkz" simply right click these files and rename them to "bikes.rar or tracks.rar" then they will change to RAR files allowing you to extract the folder inside to the MX Bikes directory.

Hope this helps :)

Hey guys

So when I first started driving supermoto I had a feeling that there was a lack of lean angle compared to real life. Ofcourse after some practice I learned how to get better at it but still I felt like there was a lack of corner speed (thus lean angle and side grip).

So I thought of a way to test if this were true by comparing the laptimes on a track I know in real life and in the game.
The track I chose for this was the karting track of Spa-Francorchamps (all tarmac). I got the track from the krp tracklist and installed it on MXBikes.
I went out on the track and started to get to know the lines and also ofcourse compare it to the real life track. I have to say the in-game track is pretty spot on compared to the real life track.
I started to do some fast laps and in the first 30mins of trying, I did a 52.5. (Note: I'm pretty fast on the supermoto as I have a 42.8 on Holjes. (not to brag, just as information :p) )
I already knew that supermoto riders in real life go a bit faster than that but didn't really know the exact laptimes of the fast riders. A friend of mine in real life rides supermoto in the belgian competition. He is one of the fastest guys there. I found a video of him doing 49-50's on the track, However the track was a little damp as you could see spots of water on his camera and also he was being held up be some other guy. I think that the fast laps at spa francorchamps will be at least around 47.5xx . While in MXBikes my ideal laptime after some more practice would be a 50.9.
So from what I observed I think that the supermoto in MXBikes takes much less lean angle and corner speed than the real life supermoto. To a point where it costs several seconds a lap just because of the lower corner speeds. The grip when braking and accelerating is pretty good compared to the real deal.

So yeah, I just wanted to point out that the supermoto on tarmac doesn't take enough lean angle and corner speed compared to the real supermoto racers. So please PiBoSo consider increasing the side grip/ lean angle / corner speed of the supermoto on tarmac.

Cool track! Anyone have a good SM setup? Trying to learn to ride them.

You don't need to change much on a supermoto. I changed the suspension a little bit but it doesn't do much (I think rear spring a bit stiffer). Main thing to change for to your personal preference is the gearing, the rest of the setup is already pretty good in my opinion.
I have the "stability help" on 40% so that the bike feels more agile. It is easier to crash when trassitioning from road to dirt with low stability help but 40% is a nice medium.

I do have a huge tip for you. With the current physics of the supermoto drifting when on the brakes loses a lot of time because once the rear wheel steps out you will have to release the front brake a little bit and this loses a ton of time. I only use front brake and try to prevent the rear wheel from stepping out when downshifting and also ofcourse the front from washing out under me when breaking into a corner.

Also to "justify" that the default setup is already good. My time on holjes is 43.0 with default setup. 42.8 with change in suspension but it was also just a better lap so not too much to do with setup.

Hope this helped :p

Ping limit does this.

Ye, I know but it was wierd as both me and another rider got banned right after eachother. My ping is normaly very good. So I think something on the servers end caused the high ping.

Well the server resets every night at 5h00. So this removed the ban. Still a bit strange...

April 08, 2016, 11:29:17 PM
Hi guys
So me and this other guy (forgot his name) were playing on the map Holjes on the Motonline-fr 1 server. Suddenly I see him getting ejected from the server and right after him I also got ejected from the server. Trying to reconnect to it gives the error : "Banned" . And I have no idea why... . Help plz :)

Thanks in advance :p

What are good tracks from KRP? I tried a few, most of them feel too slow / too tight.
