Fun track dude. The shadows are really challenging. Has a Washougal vibe.

Quote from: WestSideWill763 on July 22, 2020, 09:01:35 PMfirst off let me start by saying wow great track to build for your first its a very addicting track.... glad to see your looking for feedback cause thats how any of us get better...
that being said theres a few things ide change about the track theres a tight 180 berm on top of a hill b4 a huge jump up step down i think the jumps fine but that berm needs to be pushed back just cause its to tight of a turn.....
then i think its 2 straights after that you have a pit going up hill there's a really sharp down angle into the pit i think needs to just go flat into the uphill....
nd last part i had issues with was a 2 berm corner b4 the first huge floater jump, i just think the inner berm isn't needed it needs to be more of a rut 2nd line apposed to a tight 90 with a berm you haffta slow way down to ride in......with all this said other than obviously adding objects like fences and the start finish the track will be absolutely amazing for the fast and fun lines
Quote from: Ruubs on July 21, 2020, 07:52:17 PMMy first thought was either wrong layer count or wrong mask name, but both seem to be correct. Check your grass_mask.tga again (not grass_masks.tga) to see if it truly has an alpha channel and is saved in 32bit.
Another thing that I see is that you have 4 soil layers in your .tht file. Why not make one soil layer with a thickness of 1 + (0.2*3) = 1.6?
Quote from: BeefLilly247 on July 21, 2020, 07:59:30 PMTry deleting that extra space in your hmf on "layer 5"
Quote from: BeefLilly247 on July 21, 2020, 03:36:08 AMIt's funny I just encountered this issue myself. If you're still having issues, double check the hmf and tht layer numbers. It should start on layer0, and progress from there. Make sure there are no numbers skipped. That was my issue. Hope this helps

I did go into trh.bat and add a pause after line 1 and was able to get this message to pop up. Not sure if this is the root of the issue, or if the error was due to me adding the pause in an attempt to see what was happening.
C:\Users\travi\Desktop\crtest>terrained.exe track.tht crtest/crtest.trh trh_params.ini
'terrained.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
This leads me to believe you have not copied the terrained.exe into your crtest folder - have you?
Quote from: 𝖙𝖋𝖈 on July 14, 2020, 09:41:54 AMI don't know what to say guys. This works for so many people but every now and then someone has an issue. I can only put it down to a couple of things.
1. A local issue, permissions or something else.
2. User error, although each case will be different most likely, I've helped a lot of people over the years who have made a tiny easy to miss mistake.
Past that, sorry I have no idea why it doesn't work for a few people.
