When I join a server, I see other riders, but they all are wearing the same riding gear and their graphics are all the "stock/base" graphics for their bikes (OEM Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, etc.). This has been the case in every server I've joined this week. I see the custom helmets and boots, but not jerseys and pants. I'm certain that 40+ players aren't all wearing the default black riding gear. I'm also certain that at least one of them is using a custom skin for their bike.

UPDATE: I just saw a custom kit on an Alta finally. That makes me think that this is an issue with the cache on my machine...

Quote from: Blackout_STi on February 03, 2021, 12:05:37 AMHi,

Sorry if this not the right place for this question... I am trying change the color of the hubs on my 2021 KTM 250 SX-F. I've added a wheels.tga file (next to the 250sxf_livery.tga and 250sxf_parts.tga files), but the wheels in-game do not look any different? I saw this file in the Factory RedBull paint that I obtained via one of the "All Mods" packs.

I see a couple of other paints that have successfully colored their hubs (RM ATV KTM 2020.pnt and FD Proven KTM 250.pnt), but painted.exe shows no .tga files when I read these paint files.

If wheels.tga is not the correct filename, what is and how can I deter this for myself in the future? Is there a way to examine the default paint for an OEM bike?

Thanks in advance!

One last thing: is there another app that people are using to read/write .pnt files, other than painted.exe?

are you using gio's custom wheels? stock are wheels.tga, gio's are wheel.tga

I must be :) Thank you, I'll try that. Much appreciated!

Bikes / 2021 KTM Wheels - Correct filename?

Bikes / Re: link to all my sound mods
February 01, 2021, 07:01:49 AM
Thank you, however I am unsure if the sounds are working as of v0.15. I installed the mod (as per GDUB's video) and yet my bikes sound the same as they did before. I copied and pasted the entire 'bikes' folder over my 'mods > bikes' folder. KTM 250/350/450 SX-F all sound the same, as well as the Husky FC 250/350/450.

Can anyone help me debug? Thank you

Copy that. After limiting my testing to a single track, things felt more similar. Thank you for the reply and the info!

No worries. Sorry if I initially came out as rude, I was short on time. I value all feedback, and I know bikes can be somewhat bouncy. I would love to get my hands on real suspensions dynos but after looking on and off for like two years, I kinda gave up for the rebound side of things. So I go with stock values as I don't have the time to test everything anymore.

No apology necessary! I didn't read that as rude at all!

I appreciated the response and (of course) the work you've done. Coming from MESX, I have just found myself in a sea of things to learn here and am just starting to get my bearings. Learning about these bikes helps me tremendously as I aspire to eventually race some supercross on here. Maybe in a couple of years lol!

Thanks again!

Paints / Re: Paints Creation Guide

Does anyone possess a vector version of the rider template? I've resorted to image tracing the PSD layers... All I'm after is the "cutout" of the jersey and pants. I am not familiar with game development, but I have to imagine it's not much different from other industries, so I'm guessing that somebody has a source file for Illustrator?

Thanks in advance!

Hello! New player as of v0.15- so forgive me if I miss the mark...

After logging a bunch of hours testing (min/maxing every setting, trying settings from YouTube videos, creating my own from scratch). I've come to the conclusion that the default bikes are just not as bouncy as the bikes in this pack. Whenever I overshoot jumps, case jumps, hit big breaking bumps, etc, I end up (literally) bouncing into the air after the initial impact. This does not really happen when I'm on the default bikes.

I believe I heard something in a video on YouTube that v0.15 made the bikes less bouncy- but only the default bikes. Is there a chance we will see similar improvements to these bikes as well? The bikes in this pack feel better in every other way, but the bouncing is hard to get used to.

If I'm crazy, let me know :) Thanks

Thank you for this! Hey, I'm new to this game, but would like to start making tracks. I haven't done any since Reflex... Can I get a link to the discord you guys are talking about? Thanks in advance!

Thank you for this! I know how much work goes into something like this- and it is very much appreciated.
