General Discussion / OK that's it, i'm done.
July 09, 2017, 01:31:50 PM
I am sick of this game. sick of pibs doing NOTHING. Sayin' nothing. I'm sick of all of you guys, TFC, Gdub, Asdrael, Paco, Jose, Philian, who just don't give a shit about all the work Geo put together for us and for this game by not showing on any races.
We all have excuses... I said no to a family dinner, i said no to a friend birthday for race.
Because most of the time if i'm not here there is no race. i mean... 5 riders at least right ? yesterday we were 6. It was crazy lol.
I'm sick of Training all fucking week for a 5 guys race. All in kawaski because the ONLY other team of the game decided to make another monster kawi team (LOL).
i'm sick of Bj cryin like a bitch each time we touch eachother. i'm sick of this fucking shitty netcode. I'm sick of randomly fall everytime i push the bike.
i'm sick of riding like a grandma to stay clean. i'm sick of the lack of change or even ANY news.

I'm done. I leave. I'll be back for the next beta if we have something else than a fucking nac nac animation.

Fck it.

Bikes / 2017 Kawasaki and Kawasaki OEM bike pack.
January 28, 2017, 11:52:23 PM
>>> 18.03.2017 : Beta 6 update : Kawasaki Pack v2.0 <<<

Standard bikes
  • Chassis flex values added
OEM bikes
  • Chassis flex values added
  • 4 strokes: different engine maps added, based on the different couplers coming with the bike.
    • Green: Stock hp curve, rather full at low RPMs but limited at high RPMs.
    • White: More of an aggressive map. mid/high RPM.
    • Black: A smoother power curve, softening up the low/mid RPMS but pulling linearly and longer.

Kawasaki KXFs Std + OEM v2.0
Necessary Geo Tyre Mod for the OEM bikes to work.

As always, let me know if anything is out of whack. Enjoy!

The complete line of Kawasaki's bikes, 2017 version –  250F and 450F. (a 125 will may be add to this pack..

The original model was created by Jay, modified by Yann and transfered to mxb by me and Pacopastor (without the permission of the creator. I bought the model, and i transfered it to mx bikes and he said NO. And then i said Fuck You. if you don't support Robinhood... don't use it.) All the Geom and engine files are done by Asdrael... and it's freaking awesome.

The bikes have undergone extensive work and rework on different aspects of their physics implementation. This is why two different versions of the bikes are being released.
You can download and enjoy both. They can coexist on servers, np. They are different variations on the same theme, and all count as different bikes for the game.

In the pack...

KX250F/KX450F stock version :

- Fork: Accurate travel, rake angle, offset, trail, position, stock spring strength and preload within stock range. Weight positioned the best I could.
- Shock: Accurate travel, complete geometry including linkage system, position on chassis, stock spring length,  strength and preload within stock
- Chassis: Accurate wheelbase, weight positioning to accommodate new geometry.
- Suspensions: Slightly modified the values for the suspensions in the .cfg file so it works with the geometry.
Rebound was compared to videos for average settings, while shock was adapted from MSM and other models.
-Engines: those are stock, copied from the MSM. Also stock: everything that has to do with the engine (ratios etc).

KX250F/KX450F OEM Version :

- Engines: All engine data incorporated, >98% accuracy on the dyno curves.
- Ratios: Primary, secondary, gearing ratios all exact and at stock settings + .cfg allows typical secondary drive ratio modifications.
- Weight and fuel: Weight and fuel capacity corrected for each model, including inertia.
- Brakes: Disc size (and associated torque) exact.
- Suspension settings: All the suspension settings have been expanded for realism. 20 clicks on everything (shock should be 30 for rebound but
the engine limits it at 20).
For convenience, I added 2 softer and 3 harder settings on everything (so your Standard pack setting +2 = your OEM setting). Surprise: every
   value is set to factory.
Also increased the choice in rear spring strength for realism, and dialed in the exact
   strength and preload values.
- Tyres: Geo's Tyres (v1.5).

For the 450F OEM model, the engine has been modeled from Dyno data, the engine inertia upped to 0.006 and the engine breaking torque adapted (exact same conditions as the YZ450F OEM making those 2 bikes "homogeneous"

- Jay for the base model of the kxf
- Pacopastor for his patience, and for being a so great teacher
- Yann Bourguignon for his help on all the little parts on the model
- Asdrael for his magic in suspensions settings and for the all OEM shit... All credits for the handle goes to him, and it's fucking awesome <3

Enjoy (or not, if you support scamers :) )

Setups / Suspensions Tutorial by StoneRider
January 08, 2017, 03:55:15 PM
I know that a lot of you are still using stock setup and often ask for mines. I think it's time to give all my "secrets"... (lol) we have all we need to know how suspension works. (thanks to Geo and Gdub <3) But i think that the most important thing were forgotten. Testing workflow.
Here is what i learned.

We are just going to speak about suspension setup here but just for you to know, here is my general setup.

- Im riding the helmet cam
- Direct lean 100%
- All advanced setting stock (i'm using the Xbox one Elite controller and i have a great feeling and control of all my triggers and analogs soo... go check Geo's tutorial if you need help here.)
- Field of view 100
- tilt 25%
- pitch 20%
- no corner anticipation
- stability help 75%
- All riding help disabled

Testing workflow:

1) SAG and Spring Rate:

First of all, before even hitting the track for the first time, you have to set your SAG. The race sag (rider sag) is the distance that the rear end of the bike settles when on the ground and under the load of the rider's weight. The static sag (free sag) is the distance that the rear end of the bike settles when on the ground, but only under the load of its own weight (no rider).

You want your race sag to be at 100mm (+/-10) at the rear, and 70mm (+/-5) at the front. (For supercross, it's better to set your sag at 60mm at the front.)
Your Static sag have to be around 30 (+/-10) at both ends.
To reach thoses values, you have to tweak your spring rate and preload button until you have it.

Now you can go on the track.

2) Setting the suspensions for the track.

Once your sag is set, (much better allready huh ?) i recommand to ride the track at least 15 or 20 laps with 10 or 12 at bump and rebound (rear and front) and stock oil level. This way you will be very familiar with the bike and the track and it will be much easier to see by your laptimes if you are really improving you setup or if you're just learning the track... ^^
Then you can start to tweak each setting, one by one and run 4 or 5 laps and see if you are faster or not.

Bump --> it's the compression damping. Higher the value is, stiffer your fork will be.
Rebound --> release, or rebound damping. Higher the value is, slower the suspension will deploy.

You have to change thoses values one by one to really feel the difference.
You can up or down by 2 cliks each time. It's hard to feel a real difference with one clik. (8 to 10 for the fork bump for exemple)

Fork oil level --> fuck this shit. ... Jk. Higher the value is, stiffer the fork will be at the end of his run. i use 110mm in MX and 120mm in SX. (not really familiar with this one yet...)

On a nice and smooth track, you can use a soft setup. You need traction as much as you can have. Be careful at some big jump reception, and if you are pushing too hard in a turn with a too soft fork... you will finish the trun on your teeths. I usually have a stiffer front end than rear end on smooth and fast tracks. And you can set your rebound around 12 without thinking too much...

With deformation, or on a rough track it's not the same deal. Bumb/Rebound combo is really important, it's how the suspension will "read" the track. If it's too slow or too fast, the suspension won't have the time to travel all the way around bumps. in results ? loose of traction, sideways kicks and noob braking... or even fall. And it will also feel unsafe in turns.

There is no secret. Training and dedication are the keys. Your bike have to make love with the track. It's all about compromise. the perfect setup is in the perfect 50% grey area. And it's different for each track. Time and dedication are your allies. it's not easy at the beginning but it's not THAT hard neither...
And don't hesitate to take notes.

A big thanks to Geo, Gdub and Asdrael for all your tutos. I hope this will finish to complete them.

PS: I know that my english is very bad and it would be very appriciated if someone could correct me...

Hope it'll help <3
