The Fernley Sandbox is READY TO RACE. This is my home track, away from home. I started this project back in July as a passion project. There was a lot of heat and drama going on when I started about the possibility and likeliness of the track closing. It was almost a guaranteed shut down going into September. Thankfully the clubs (OTMX and OTHG) and the city of Fernley were able to work out an agreement to keep the track open!

Fernley, Nevada is a little city about 40 miles east of Reno. Exit 48 (you'll see the Walmart and Terrible's Truck Stop). Left under the freeway. Left after the truck wash (if you hit the sand you've gone too far). Follow the road until you find the entrance at the next freeway underpass. The Sandbox has been around for decades with probably 100s of iterations, run by the two MX clubs who share the property; Nevada Old Timers MX and Over The Hill Gang - Reno chapter.

So here is the compound. Contained are four raceable tracks. Two MX. Two GP. And a ton of not so hidden easter eggs. The 2012 Sandbox GP, 2013 East and West MX tracks, and 2015 Sandbox GP. For all you bieklyfe wheelie wierdos, there are even roads to rip. Go adventure around and discover all the hidden tracks and trails!

All three weather options are flushed out with drastically different skies and ambiance. All tracks have working cameras. CUSTOM PIT spaces, please don't run into my truck it's still being paid off.

This absolutely would not be possible without EVERYONE who helped me along the way.

Track Editing / 2013 Fernley Sandbox W.I.P.

Well boys, I think it's finally time to release a  W I P  of the 2013(ish) Fernley Sandbox I've been working on. If you've been following on the MXB Discord (or any others I've been sharing pics) you already know how much this build has progressed. Pretty satisfied on where I have the heightmap thus far. OF COURSE I want feedback. Textures, heightmap, weird shit I missed or overlooked, deform, etc.

Currently the East (OTHG) and West (OTMX) motocross tracks are tentatively complete, with East track having working laps and raceable (though the timing gates aren't detailed, the minimum to count laps is there) ((that's the track directly in front of you at spawn)). There is also the Sandbox GP hare scramble loop which is rough and textured if you can find it, you'll know where to go.

All tracks are COUNTER CLOCKWISE direction. There are no objects, stock skybox, there is still a lot of work going to be done. When finished there will also be a ton of desert whooped out trails and some twisty sand whoop tracks (not built yet).

The link will stay the same forever, so when the track is updated *it will be updated* even though the link will not change.

Beta for the 2012 Sandbox GP now added. It's a roughly 5min lap between both MX tracks and some of the desert and infield. With centerline and timing setup. Track is CLOCKWISE (first turn go left). Be prepared, it's rougher than hell and beat to shit. Follow the texture until i get around to adding objects. Finish line is behind the first turn in the infield (when talking about the first mx East track)

NEW LINK. 4 separate tracks; 2 mx, 2 enduro. all with rdf and timing gates. All with personal track images so they're easier to find in game. Textures appropriate for each track in each folder. DL the zip, extract into tracks folder, all 4 tracks are PKZ to stay simple. NOT NECESSARY to delete old files but you can if you want to of course.
I'm getting dangerously close to having nowhere else to go but blender. god help us all

Decided to make one thread, similar to iNsane's fonts posts, to keep all my custom fonts together. I'll update it as I make more. And I'll take requests for fonts too, all I ask is that you take some effort to find a link to the font wanted and post it with your request. There are a lot of damn fonts with same or similar names, and I'm not going through that much effort for it haha.

HUGE thanks to iNsane for his fonts tutorial, I finally can start on making fonts and fonts and fonts for this game. SO HERE is my first one. Subway Italic, the font I use irl, the font most flat trackers use too. I made 2 variants, a full size one where side plates numbers are larger and a regular size one that fits modern bikes slim side plates better. Also in black and white colors.

Tracks / Mammoth Motocross

Well guys, I'm back. With another track. The legendary Mammoth Motocross! This track sits way up in the mountains of California at 8000' elevation. I spent a lot of time developing the soil layers to really develop lines and roughness as you run more and more laps, so don't let it's smooth surface fool you, it will cut in. After feedback from my last replica, I left clear weather fairly normal but used the cloudy weather option to try a vintage film style ambiance so make sure to check out all 3 weather options! Plus, there are plenty of cameras set up for both on_track AND off_track shenanigans.

Big thanks to Resolute Kraken for help all along the way with tips and tricks for all the programs, and his badass track helper (which I used to make this track from start to finish), as well as for sharing his Erzberg trees. Gio, TFC, Ruben, Mouk for their assets, tutorials, and everyone else's help through the discord.

Can't forget my buddies for helping test and give feedback through the whole process!

- Improved texturing; fixed masking issues, assets textures, 3Dgrasses
- Modified heightmap; modified some corners, added more to the mountain trails
- Improved material layers; should lend to smoother deformation, better for races with multiple riders

* Updated shadows and sun position, modified final corner, changed dip into middle double, smoothed various jump faces, fixed typo in track image

Two tracks in one week? I don't know, but here's another one for everyone! This was a collaborative effort with Danky. He provided the heightmap from an unfinished MXS project, which I left largely unchanged (aside from just making it playable in MXB). This was something we started a while back and I kinda forgot about... Found it the other day in my files and decided to finish it up finally!

It's somewhat short, I was doing ~ 1:30 laps. Track cameras all work flawlessly, haven't found any odd jumps between cameras in my testing. Big thanks to the community for helping with my questions and getting deeper into what you can do with the files available! Gio and Ruubs for objects (seems as always, maybe i'll learn to model next).

Enjoy! It's been a fun little project, I must say.

Tracks / MMX Sand

It's time for another track! Learned alot since Fernley, and finally got some drive to make a new track. Rode here July 4 (first ride in a year jeez) and took some pictures, basically made the track from memory.
It is another sand track (clearly), from Marysville, California. tried to emulate an early spring sunrise with the lighting, hope you enjoy!
As always, all feedback is welcome and desired.

Thanks to TFC and Mouk for the tutorials. Mouk Gio and Ruubs for objects/assets. Everyone in the discord that helped my barrage of questions. And big thanks to Kraken for helping me test and catch glaring issues, as well as everyone I sent beta links out to for their feedback. Well, it's finally here! The Fernley Sandbox. I've spun easily more laps here than any other track growing up, so naturally I would make it for my first track. This is one of the multiple layouts the track has run over the decades.
