Tracks / AGMX Tracks - Millville 2020
October 20, 2020, 04:13:52 PM
LOW-RES VERSION NOW RELEASED - PLEASE READ DETAILS AT BOTTOM OF POST

This track has been a real labor of love for me and I have learned so much while developing this "love letter" to MX Bikes. The track is thoughtfully designed as I spent many hours thinking about each rut, the shape of each hill and essentially every other factor of this track. I am so excited to share this project with the community and it is my hope the addition of Millville (Spring Creek) 2020 in your MXB library will bring you joy and lots of fun racing!

I have streamed most of the creation process (minus a few steps at the very beginning), which has been a lot of fun for me and plan to do again in the future. To catch everyone up on the progress myself and others have been making on the track, check out the videos below. They're broken down into parts, and I test the track several times in each video.

Part 8: Blender and other misc items. Getting ready for release!

Part 9: Details and wrap up

Release

I'd also like to thank the following people for their contribution and support to the track:

Mulock22 - Material Layering / Centerline / Cameras / Sounds / deformation / beta tester. Thank you so much, bro. This track wouldn't be what it is without you!
ResoluteKraken - Being a go to encyclopedia, for real bro, you're awesome, thank you so much.
McChicken -  gear in cover photo / beta tester.
Frosty- Setting up the sever for the release.
Hoober - Gathering people against alpha for infield.
Others - thank you for supporting me in the streams, or joining us for the group beta test in the end of ep. 4.

LOW RES VERSION:

A couple details regarding the low-res version:
1) The file names are the same as is all of the race-data. This allows you to play with people who have the "full spec" version of this track.
2) You CANNOT have both versions of the track in your mods folder at once (at least I didn't have any luck with it)
3) The low-spec version has an updated track_image with the subtitle of "low-spec" if you choose to keep both on your computer for swapping reasons.

If there are any problems dm me in the discord, or comment here.

Tracks / [release] Hangtown 2018 - by Agitato
August 09, 2020, 09:05:43 PM
This track is recreation of Hangtown 2018. (Created using the 125 All Star Race footage). Originally this project started out as a modification of the original "Hangtown" that was released in mid-July. I then realized to make the track as realistic as possible I would not only need to model the track completely, but also dedicate to a layout. Thus, Hangtown 2018 was created.

This track contains several deviations from the earlier "Hangtown," most notably there are two additional sections. Included are the switchback section after the peak jump, and the wall and step-up before the "Fly 150." However, there is a single deviation from the 2018 layout. In the 2018 race, the "Fly 150" (the large uphill triple) is a set of whoops. Upon discussion with Hangtown locals I decided to replace the whoop section with the "Fly 150" becuase, "we try to forget the year they replaced that...". While it would be unique to have the whoop section in place, I decided to keep the 150 to create the "ideal" track in my mind.

This is my first attempt at modifying sky-boxes, modeling, and exporting solid objects. I know the track isn't perfect but I am happy with it in it's given state, and I feel as though it is a solid representation of my ability level as a creator in MX Bikes.

I big thank you to Mulock22 - He has been the man through the creation of this track. He has provided wonderful feedback and created the fully-functional camera set to accompany the track.

Hope you all enjoy.

Tracks / Romp MX - by Agitato
June 02, 2020, 04:59:48 PM
All;

I'm excited to release my first track for MX Bikes, Romp MX!

This track is a "fantasy" recreation of a local-cross style track located in mid-missouri. The layout was taken from 2014 and features true to life sections from that year. Some sections are "fantasy" and were designed to make the track more fun and engaging in game.

Again, this is my first release and I am not smart enough to figure this out on my own.. So a BIG thank you to TFC and Niko for their tutorials, Giopanda for the assets, and countless others who posted on the forums related to track development.

Hope you all enjoy the track - a video preview and download link are below! Feel free to leave constructive feedback as I finalize my next track release, Hangtown.
