Tracks / Acreage 247
July 26, 2020, 01:15:46 AM
What's up everyone?! Hope you all are doing well. I come with news! New track! For my second release, I decided to make a freeride map. Acreage 247. I had a lot of fun making this. Was so easy to get carried away while testing. Can't wait to see people start riding it!

Info
Map size: 1000m x 1000m

1 race track - Overpass Raceway
2 free ride tracks
70+ jumps scattered throughout the map. There are a handful that can only be done on a 450.
Bikes: 250/450 4-strokes are great. 250 2-stroke rides well too. You will likely be working on a 125.

Have fun with this one! I hope you guys enjoy it :)

Tracks / Cahuilla Creek MX
June 29, 2020, 10:24:53 PM
CCMX_MXBikes.jpg

Hey everyone! I'm excited to share my first track for MX Bikes.
The process of making this track was a lot of fun. Big shout out to TFC for the track creation tutorial series.
Thanks to Giopanda for making some awesome assets to use and Resolute Kraken for the responses to my questions on the track editing forum and on Discord. You helped a ton!
The track I made is a local southern california track that my family has been riding at for years. Hope you all enjoy it!

Track Details:
Track Name: Cahuilla Creek MX
Location: Anza, California
Bikes: 250/450 (250 2 stroke should work too)
Track Note: Lots of elevation changes, and I added some custom sections just for fun ;)

Can't wait for everyone to try it! Would love to know what you guys think. Cheers!

Just unzip and drop the cahuillacreekmx folder into your tracks folder!

Track Editing / Blender shader fbx2edf issue
June 25, 2020, 11:14:08 PM
I'm trying to export these mountains (see image 3) with the texture but fbx2edf just stops it's progress right at the end and then just sits.
Doesn't freeze or crash, just sits. (see image 1)
I included the blender shader view as well in case that's where my issue is.

Any ideas?

Hey everyone, back again with another question haha.
Anyone ever have issues with one texture overlapping over another objects texture?

I've included screen grabs of both the Rocks with fence texture overlapping the rock texture, and the fence texture itself.

Also, here is the scene rendering section of the hmf file.
scene0
{
name = ccmx_track_objects.edf
pos
{
x = 0
y = 0
z = 0
}
rot
{
x = 0
y = 0
z = 0
}
}

scene1
{
name = finish_gate.edf
pos
{
x = 315.497
y = 34
z = 383.900
}
rot
{
x = 0
y = -26
z = 0
}
}

scene2
{
name = ccmx_rocks.edf
pos
{
x = 0
y = 0
z = 0
}
rot
{
x = 0
y = 0
z = 0
}
}

scene3
{
name = ccmx_pit_v4.edf
pos

x = 0
y = 0
z = 0
}
rot
{
x = 0
y = 0
z = 0
}

I'm having an issue with duplicating these track stakes along a curve in Blender. The issue is the following:
- The objects along the array begin rotate as the track progresses. (I have no rotation applied to the object that would make it transform this way)
I believe it is the projected curve on the surface that is causing the small rotation of the objects.

Any ideas?

The images attached show the following:
  • perfectly upright stakes following the start of the path
  • a not so upright stake that is in towards the middle of my track
  • screen grab of the rotation that takes place in the array

Track Editing / Cahuilla Creek MX [WIP]
June 12, 2020, 06:30:50 PM
Hey everyone,

My name is Brandon. I go by Beef, it's been my nickname for my whole life. Anyway I've been playing MX bikes for a couple months now and I wanted to have a go at creating my first track. Big thanks to TFC for his tutorials on this topic! This is still a work in progress but I have the heightmap in a good place. I think it just needs some overall polish on the textures and adding some objects. (Which I have no idea how to do yet haha) Anyway, here is the onboard video of Cahuilla Creek MX in its current state. This track is located out in Anza, California and has been a favorite track of mine for 12 years! Let me know what you think!
