In mx, you squeeze the bike with your knees. Its also with your knees that you steer the bike. You use your legs/ knees to guide the bike in any direction you need to go. Your arms don't do half the work that your legs or knees do

Here is my first bike skin for the game. Also Included are the fonts that I use for my bikes. In order to use the white one you need to rename it to plate.tga. Have fun, hope to see some guys use my skin.

Thanks. I have tried a million different things to skin the chest protector. I don't think it can be done in its current state. By the way, whats a .edf file? That's the only ones that I havn't been able to open and take a peek at

I have made a tab under protection with the chest protector only. Ill be working on trying to skin it as well but havnt gotten that far yet. Anyways here is the link for it. Just place it in your rider folder under a subfolder named protection.

I think having an option to change bike fonts in-game would be great. We can already do rider fonts so it should be an easy addition. Also it would be nice if they moved the numbers lower on the front number plate. Looks out of place at the moment.

Braking mapped for front and back to one button. Not a need thing but really could help some guys a lot.

How about some hand guards for the bikes and an option to turn them on or off?

That's all I can think of right now but I'm sure I'll add to this later on. The game is honestly really fun and I know it will get a lot better with time. I'm excited to see what's in store for us when we get to beta 2

I know snappe has said before that spec and norm maps are supported for the game. I would imagine if you could figure out how to get a skin in game you could most likely change the color of the chest protector. I may be working on getting some new protection stuff tonight if I can get stuff to work

Anyone figured anything out with the protection stuff yet? I'm thinking about diving into that next. At a quick glance I couldn't find any skin files to base anything off of. If I can't find a template or skin we should at least be able to do color changes.

Thats pretty cool man, love the wheels an seat! Can you pm it to me in that current state, I got a nice set of gear to match that.

What do you guys think of my custom bike skin im working on? More for a personal skin I guess. If you guys like it I might consider releasing a more public version once completed. I actually still have a ton of work to do on this though.

I think it should be able to be mapped onto one button. Its a game after all and some things are just too hard to really do in game. I can tell you right now as someone who rides a 450 IRL, the only way to do a real complete sim setuo for an mx game is to make a controller setup that has handlebars, shifter,levers, the whole works. Mx is a super complex sport to learn but even at that lots of goons out there can shift and use a clutch and all that without falling all over the track
