Keep the reset button pressed for a couple seconds, it will reset you on-track.

General Discussion / Re: Steam

I have to agree with the guy above about Steam Workshop. If you put the game on Steam, you have to add Workshop support (and get rid of the mismatch errors, use dummies?).

What IS this bug? How much does it impact performance? If I look at the edge of a track, it's 60FPS (V-Synced), a bit of riding 30'ish, which is playable, and online it will go down a bit more when seeing other people. MXBC Compound seems to be particularly hard on the FPS too.

CPU: i7 920
GPU: R9 R290 4GB
RAM: 6GB

I know the CPU is pretty old, but it's still decent. It can run games like GTA V, Battlefield and The Witcher without any problems. Even with everything maxed out it does not seem to bottleneck the GPU too much.

The game is currently installed on an HDD, not one of the SSDs tho. But that should only affect loading times, unless the game is badly coded and keeps reading from disk during play.

There are variou sstability test around in order to stress-test your CPU, GPU and even both at the same time (which of course will also stress-test your PSU).

Prime95 for the CPU, furmark fr the GPU is the popular combo.

http://blog.logicalincrements.com/2015/12/the-best-programs-for-stress-testing-your-pc/

Thanks! Ran the GPU test and it did well for about 3 minutes and got to 84c and then crashed. Guessing PSU?

84C should not crash your GPU. It should be able to handle up to 100C. What brand/model is your PSU? And how old is it?

Edit: I've just read the card has been spec'd to run "safe" up to 95C. Not sure, but IMO just above that it should start throttling (underclocking), not shutting your PC down any time soon.

Running a memory diagnostic tool might be worth a shot?

Stalking! Haha. Saw some Dutch replies on your Facebook, then I noticed the "I live in The Netherlands" line in the HTML on your facebook cover image.  ;)

Gonna have to give this a try on the OEM CRF250. Can't seem to find a comfortable setup on my own.

Btw., you're Dutch too? I'm from Amersfoort.

What pressure will the Steam release of KRP put on Piboso? Steam reviews can be very unforgiving, and that could turn Piboso's focus mainly to KRP. I sure hope not tho, this game is really growing on me. If MXB keeps seeing regular updates I will try to support him by getting the other games eventually.

You know it's coming because something funny happens to the ground in the menu background. Hard to explain.

Ah yes, I've seen that! Not sure how to explain it, it's like the alpha channel maxes out at, I don't know, let's say 50% opacity?

I have seen it too. Thought alt-tabbing in and out of the game a lot might have bugged it out? Happened with RC125, YZ125 and CRF250 so I don't think it's bike related.

So stupid, I could've known that! (And could've seen the other topic about this ::)) Thanks!

Support / License key problem?
March 28, 2017, 12:44:14 AM
So, I bought a key for my friend but he can't go online. It gives an error saying "Invalid login: please register". Checked the key in license.ini and it is correct.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

I doubt that animations are canned like that link suggests. It wouldn't work (well) in a game like this and besides, it's a really old-school way of doing things. Then again, according to the download page this game uses OpenGL 1.2.1 (1998) or DirectX 8.1 (2001)? (Time for an upgrade! OpenGL 3+ or Vulkan maybe?).

So..., I just opened one of the animation files for the rider and look at what I found:

Looks like bone names (one of them is called "riderRIG_armour" by the way). So it seems like the animation files just tell the bones how to move. Would be nice if Pib could share his riders source file for 3D Max or Blender.

And btw., why is there hardly any in-air control (F/B)? That would at least give a chance to prevent most of the flat landings by matching angle of the landing slope.

is your joy stick set up proper for this and do you have auto f/b turned off?  I can get pretty good control f/b...

some bikes, especially on SX..yes, little f/b control available

Auto f/b is turned off using a 360 controller. L/R and F/B lean on right stick. At the moment I have to hit a jump leaning just right to get a proper flight path with a good landing. Leaning in air really doesn't seem to do anything. Tried using throttle and brake to no avail.
