But why would we want another KTM which doesn't even look as good as the stock one from the game?

I understand it if you want to try to get everything working in game etc., but I don't see why you want to release it.
ouch.....

Glad to see you're back making stuff for MX games Damien  ;D

From the people I talk to, a lot of people still are around. They just don't feel the need to post asking questions like before beta 1 release since now they can answer it themselves by playing with the game now that it's out   :D.    Update is great and loving playing it now that I have some more free time!

Hey everyone,

Here's our first team bike!  Special thanks to Jason Pama and Ty Brakefield.  The gear in the preview picture will be released soon when it is finished by its creator (Jack Clubine).

You can see the team roster here: http://simraces.com/MXB/Team?teamID=4

I have downloaded the track tool and i don't know how to extract this track, can you explain in details please?

http://www.mx-bikes.com/downloads/mxb_track_example.zip

Step 1)Open the zip file you downloaded, inside are some files and also a folder titled "example"
Step 2)Right click your MX Bikes shortcut on your desktop and click "Open File Location"
Step 3)In this folder, make a folder called "tracks"
Step 4)Move the "example" folder from step 1 into the "tracks" folder you made in step 3

I'm curious as to if you guys want content to be allowed to be uploaded directly to the site, or if it is better as it is now where you can just paste the links into the boxes?  If people think it would be better to have direct uploads, I can get them working.

EDIT: Well I decided to add a file upload anyways.  So now your content can be hosted directly on the site.  You can still choose to just paste links if you already have it uploaded somewhere.  Uploads are currently limited to 64MB for each submission.

General Discussion / MXB Help Website

Hey everyone,

I've finished making a new section of the FlowTech website that is for MX-Bikes help.  It is a database of searchable help information.  All the information is also separated by categories.  More information will be added as it appears around the forums and as I gain more knowledge of the game.  I've added some documentation posted on this forum and the people who wrote them have been credited.

Here it is guys: mxbhelp.flowtechmxs.com

General Discussion / MX-Bikes Content Site (Changes)
October 02, 2014, 05:14:29 AM
There's been some changes to the site (and figured I'd talk about it in this forum since it isn't an off-topic subject anymore).  You can make an account there and it allows you to submit content (the account syncs across the entire FlowTech site).  It displays it nicely and allows you to search for stuff by category and also keywords.  There's a pretty intensive submission form and you can edit your submissions once they are sent.  The biggest change is you no longer need to wait for admin approval to have your content posted.  However, content will still be moderated just can be posted before moderation (helpful because moderators can't get to submissions as often as needed).  Content submissions will show on the profile pages of the people who submitted them.

Here's the link to the MXB content section: mxbcontent.flowtechmxs.com

Since it's empty at the moment of posting, you can see what the site could look like with some content by looking at the MXS section of the site here.

I posted about this some days ago in off-topic but needed to talk about these changes and figured I'd just make the topic where people will be actually looking for it.

Hope some people find it useful.  I'll get around to seeing what we can do with organized racing as the game gets more people online.

Off Topic / MXB Content Site
September 22, 2014, 08:05:36 AM
Hey guys!

So I'm sure not many people here know but I run a site called http://flowtechmxs.com for mxs.  There's the main site (flowtechmxs.com) which is the racing website where it's possible to sign up for races, create teams, and also certain people can use the website to host races.  There's also the content section for MXS (mxscontent.flowtechmxs.com).  User accounts currently sync between these sites.  There's full on messaging and social features as well.  The main site has been around for around nine months now but it has drastically changed since initially published.

Anyways, now that the background of the site is out of the way, I'll explain why I'm making this post.  I've done exactly what I did for MXS for MX-Bikes, which is creating a section for content of all types.  Obviously there is no finished content for the game yet, but the platform is there for if people choose to use it.  The entire site and all its sections have just been a fun project for me to learn some new things, but it is cool to see some people using it.  The mxb site is live at mxbcontent.flowtechmxs.com.  There's nothing on it now of course, and I don't plan on seeing anything on it just yet.  As of now, all submissions to that site will have to be approved by an admin, but that will change when the game gets going.  To see a practical version of what the mxb site would look like, you could just look at the MXS section (mxscontent.flowtechmxs.com).

I also did a help section for MXS a few months ago now which can be found at mxshelp.flowtechmxs.com.  The content sections were just a fun project for me and I wanted to see what I could get to work.  As a couple of you may know, I really like to focus on the competitive racing side of the games so I look forward to what will be possible with MXB.  But in summary, the content site is there if you want to use it.  Accounts should be syncing across all three user based sections of the site.  I struggle with whether or not the site should actually host the downloads as well.  Right now they host the preview pictures locally, but it could also be used for the actual file downloads.  I just feel that a place to have the content displayed neatly and in a formatted way is more necessary than an actual download host.  That's all for now.  Sorry I didn't share this sooner, but I planned to wait until after the game was actually released and content started to be made.  Seeing as the templates were released and also the fact that I will be gone for some of the coming days, I decided to post some info about it now in case I can't get around to it when it could actually be useful.

I can't even imagine how much time it takes to get the physics engine of a motocross game/sim to work similar to how it does in real life. I'm just stoked that something is in development in general. Always love the idea of any kind of new moto game!
