Hoping in here since B16 dropped, not providing feedback on the physics or anything. Just wanted to ask if the fuel consumption on the alta's could be reduced so that they can make longer moto's such as 15/20/30 + 2's without running out. It is unrealistic battery life, but it's one of those things that I think would make things more enjoyable. It would be fun to rip an alta in an organized race.

yes, when doing it i was lazy and forgot to put the decimal points

Been going on for months now, it doesn't always happen but when some people join a server some people's games lock up anywhere between 2-10 seconds, really frustrating during a race

Suggestions and wishlist / Visual Rev Limiter
March 04, 2021, 12:02:55 AM
Something I though of while riding with music on. We have the red rev limiter above the gear UI, but it only shows when it's at max. Would make playing with music/starts with lots of riders easier to determine the correct gear. Maybe this is a plug-in thing.

I usually set the sag higher for outdoors and lower for indoors. 105 is where I shoot for

Instead of the Excel I am just going to paste it here.
Settings used:
Type of Racing: Motocross/AMA Professional Supercross
Standard Age (29 or below)
Ability: Professional Rider
Standard Stiffness (not favoring soft or hard, right in the middle)
Weight: 176 pounds (according to this thread http://forum.mx-bikes.com/index.php?topic=3989.msg41694#msg41694)
For the bikes with air forks, I used the spring conversion and halved it for two springs.
Also had to do some conversion from kg/mm to N/mm, but the ratio is still very close and only usually dropped the value by 0.1 (like from 4.9 to 4.8)

Also, if anybody has any information on good spring rates for the TM's, please say because RT doesn't have anything on them unfortunately.

Also, if the value cannot be entered in game (example if it's 45 and you can only choose between 44-46 in game, experiment between the two, for the front I tend to go to the higher value and the rear I go to the lower if this is the case, but that's just my preference. Figure out what works for you. Even the website says use the closest available to their reccomendation.

Also, setting the sag correctly greatly helps cornering.

Setups / Correct Spring Rates Excel Sheet
February 20, 2021, 09:24:00 PM
Would anybody be interested in an excel sheet with the correct spring rates for the OEM's? I am using Race Tech's spring rate calculator and putting the front and rear spring rate into an excel sheet. The setup I am using in the calc is standard stiffness(not leaning soft or hard), professional riding ability (because we are definitely riding/OJ'ing/Casing stuff much harder than we are IRL), and rider weight at 176 pounds (found the rider weight through the forums). I used spring conversion for the bikes with air forks and divided it in half because they only have one spring.

Suggestions and wishlist / Re: Lock to bike customisation
February 20, 2021, 01:10:47 AM
update: so after spending some time and getting used to FPV in both locked and not locked positions, there's 2-3 problems that I have narrowed down now. I have grown to appreciate both styles because they each have their own pros and cons. Here's some input that I think is not totally crazy.

Locked: stiffer movement however you can still see the rider leaning L/R and F/R which I find is good enough. The two problems with this setup is the camera stutter when you lean forward which is already been reported (http://forum.mx-bikes.com/index.php?topic=4387.0  , also happens with unlocked), and the jitter that occurs when erode is in effect. The games frame-times get kind of sketchy when the erode is on full tilt with a loaded lobby, and when you ride on eroded parts of the track the jitter caused by the camera lock compounds the visual lag that you see on the screen when racing plus the leaning forward camera bug. I think a good solution here would be a small gyro/smoothing on the camera that allows the camera to bounce, but just slightly. That way you still remain locked but going over eroded areas doesn't compound the visual lag that happens in erode lobbies.

Unlocked: Most immersive camera in the game, hands down. Throwing whips and railing corners with this camera is one of the most satisfying experiences in a motocross game I have had. Unfortunately, this camera's Achilles heel are whoops and unforeseen in-air moments where the bike disappears from view and you can't judge where it is currently at. Like what others said you can kind of band-aid fix it by adjusting the pitch, tilt, and FPV camera with shift + c in game, but the stability issue still persists. I am not sure what I would do to go about this one, because this camera is more complex.

General Discussion / 250 2 Strokes feel off......
February 14, 2021, 02:14:30 AM
This is something that I have been trying to work out on my end for a while. I got bored of going for fast laps on the 250/450 four strokes and decided to try the 250 two strokes, specifically the Husky and KTM. When I rode them they just seemed so much slower than the other bikes, even the 250f's. I am perplexed by this, because I ride the KTM 150 SX all the time (equal time to the 250f) just for fun so I can get the two stroke feel but still be competitive with decent 250 riders. The 150 seemed faster than both the tc250 and 250sx. My ability to carry speed and handle corners is fairly good. I tried riding a gear high, gear low, and many other techniques that work on two strokes to see if I am just missing the power opportunities. In the end it just seemed like the 250's were souless and the 150 was better. It's probably just me, but has anybody else felt something similar to this?

Does it do it when lock-to-bike is turned off or is it only when that setting is on?

Quote from: 𝖙𝖋𝖈 on February 09, 2021, 10:57:26 AMThe second 1st person view cam is worth getting used to. If you adjust the tilt (maybe 40% give or take) in the settings it behaves way more like the 1st one. You also have more of what's going on with rider lean.

The only real issue with it is the weird jump when you lean forward, but it's still great to ride with when not locked to bike .

Yeah, thats the cam i have been going for. My problem is that it makes my habit of looking at the fender/ground area in front of me worse because the bike takes up about 40-50% of the screen vertically, even at 30% tilt. For now i just run the second camera with lock-to-bike on so i can see him leaning forward/backward. Wish it had a little more play in movement but also still retain stability

One of the best SX tracks so far for MXB. Not just because of the theme but the scaling. Forces me to work on my corner speed when on a 250

Yeah I always wanted something in between, locking the bike makes it much easier to make corrections in FPV but it's not as realistic. Having it off is fun, especially when throwing whips but it is harder to tell what the bike is doing.

Support / Bandwidth
February 07, 2021, 12:57:54 AM
Just have a question on the bandwidth option in the game settings for PiBoSo. Does this option increase the tickrate of the game and/or is it providing more updates for multiplayer racing at once? Does it affect CPU performance meaningfully? Am I just dumb (probably)? I am also hosting servers and was wondering how that would affect my pc and the servers performance. I just don't want to set it on high and have it hammer my pc and in game performance.
