Looks sick. Haven't tried it, nor played this game in a year. Still got to say, fuck this track today. So much potential in the area around it and it's what it is today. Wishing that they'd redesign it... Maybe I have to try this game again soon..

Quote from: Mcervantes3221 on February 05, 2021, 10:03:44 PMOf course I would say in the posts that all credit goes to original creators and not to me.
But after seeing how sensitive some people are on here I think maybe just keep it to myself.  Since I have some of the major content creators in here, will you guys please let me know if I should do that or not?
Typically it goes as if you give the original creator the credit that's deserved it's ok. As long as you're not spreading private content. If it's out in the public with the understanding it'll be build upon, it's fair game.

What went wrong here in a short explanation is that I made the original heightmap. I spent far more time on it that what's healthy... The agreement of the series organizers where this was first hosted was a 2 party consent to be used for allowing the content to be used/build upon further. What happened was that the first party gave consent, I was never consulted or asked what I thought. Upon that, I didn't even have credit in it. Then seeing a bunch of other people that probably spent far less time on it being credited sort of sucked.

If I'd gotten "thanks to wahlmat/storken/kristoffer (any name, don't care which) for the original heightmap" I'd be fine. So to me it wasn't as much teenage girl fight as someone didn't show up for the group project until the last day, created the coverpage and got the credit for all 250 pages. I know "converting" a track takes more effort than that, but I was still bummed to be overlooked since I've never said no when someone's asked me to build upon my work.

Hope that makes sense. Despite all, I'm really happy to see the tracks live on past what the did in mxs :)

If your comment was just for fun, sorry for my explanation :o  8)

No no ! You know, some people are talking, that's nice you clarified this point. I'm sad for you you didn't get any penny.
Nono, I got paid in 2017. What I mean is I have no financial incentive to have anything against this being used here, I'm rather glad to see the tracks live on. As I said, I got a few flat bases I'm willing to share, with people I know make good stuff :)

EMF already took the money for these tracks, why do they have to care about anything else right now :troll:

Hey guys. Feels like this flew over my head before I had a chance to post here. OP got it right from his side asking EMF for permission. However I'm quite sure that within EMF we agreed to get the permission both from EMF as well (!) as the original terrain creator, which in this case was me, that also wasn't asked from EMF or OP's side. But again, Yohann could/should've asked me. So the only thing that was a bit upsetting was not getting any credit at first, but that's now fixed. In my honest opinion, the credit list given was good and I really appreciate that a question was asked if it was ok to use. Thanks to Ruubs and Big Smooth for looking out for me.

Also, Teutschenthal has some striking similarities to the one I made... Is that one from mxs too? Not going for a witch hunt here, just asking.

If you want to relase more MXGP tracks, come to me. I have some "flat bases" laying around that doesn't have ruts or bumps in them. I'm sure they're far easier to port over to this compared having to deal with all the bumps and ruts that may or may not fit this game.

Edit: also thanks for handling this in a good way, not being outrageous as other people has been in the past. :)

Quote from: Rockchalice3875KTM on April 22, 2020, 01:41:56 AMdang there was no big deal when I imported gatorback from mxs. but for kegums dang. atleast he got permission. I would ask rF if I could import tracks to mxb but most likely Jeremy wouldn't let me.
Quote from: Rockchalice3875KTM on January 25, 2020, 07:31:00 PMI WOULD LIKE TO THANK ATLASZOOR FROM MX SIM FOR GIVING ME PERMISSION TO CONVERT HIS WORK INTO MX BIKES!

AND AGAIN I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR MAKING THE TRACK PLEAS THANK ATLASZOOR FROM MXS.
You got the approperiate credits right, so no one had anything to complain about :)

Documentation / Mac install guide
January 26, 2020, 06:16:12 PM
Have gotten a few requests for a Mac install previously so went ahead and made one, with steam installed. Links are in the video description. Not very active on here, so if you have a question, I'm more likely to see it if I get a PM (email notification) or a comment on the video.

Documentation / Re: Dedicated server

I'm about to buy this game within the foreseeable future. I'd like to try and set up my own servers and whatnot whenever I get it. However it seems that it's for windows only, is that correct? So it would have to be on a windows server?
