Support / Re: License Key not allowing registration

I just had a realization of maybe what my issue is. I was gifted this game by another the day it released so of course at least the paypal info field isn't correct. But I still don't know why the error would get hung up on the license key before the paypal field.

So I don't know the paypal account that was used. Piboso, if you see this, is there a way around this or am I out of luck? Not sure if the person who got me the game is around anymore.

Support / License Key not allowing registration
July 05, 2019, 08:54:36 PM
Hello,

I am trying to input my license key into the registration form, however I keep getting a "invalid license key" message upon submission. I've tried making sure all my profile names were the same in everything I can find, I copied and pasted my CD key into the license key field, and made sure there were no extra spaces hidden anywhere.

Kinda at a loss at the moment, so I'd appreciate any other suggestions I can try!

Thanks!

As someone who doesn't play this game often and only checks back every few months to keep up with progress, I agree with what RC said too. It's really important to me to be able to get into a game quickly and easily. I've never even tried online before, only single player, and I find even that could be a little quicker to get to the track from your desktop.

I just wanted to echo the desire for a better way to select tracks/gear/bikes while in-game. I also personally don't feel like content should be a concern, either. I'm perfectly happy playing on the exact same tracks for years. I've been playing on strictly AMA SX/MX tracks in MXS for like a decade now, often going back to the 2010-2013 years lol. I suppose if MXB ever hits Steam store, all the mods and user content can always be easily be accessible via Steam Workshop anyway? I don't know anything about that front though.

Besides all the quality of life stuff, I've been pleased with the progress of the game over the years. I try it out ever so often with each update and I can usually tell a big improvement was made in the physics and feel of the bike control. Ultimately if that keeps improving, I guess it doesn't matter how long it takes to get into a race, because I'm going to gravitate towards the game that feels the most realistic to me.

I want a TTR-125 and a suburban neighborhood map so I can hit all the sick plastic kicker ramps in all the driveways and do 3 foot wheelies

General Discussion / Re: YOUR SETUP
October 01, 2014, 04:36:59 AM
As far as controller setup goes I think mine is pretty ideal but would like to see other's as well. I can't find a good spot for "sit", though.

On XBOX360 controller:

Lean- Left Stick
Throttle- Right Trigger
Front Brake- Left Trigger
Rear Brake- X
Clutch- Right Stick Press
F/B Lean- Left Stick
L/R Lean- Right Stick

Shift Up- B
Shift Down- Y
Sit- (Temporary) Either Left Button or Left Stick Press

I can't use sticky Sit because it's terribly unnatural feeling, but no button combo feels right to me. I can't use "A" like I did in MXS or else I can't Rider Lean L/R while sitting :( Post more setups!

Although I built my computer, I'm not real savvy with the knowledge of what is best. But, from experience, if you plan on upgrading your computer even further in the future. I highly recommend you invest in a large case, a really good PSU (at least 750 mw) and go big on a GPU.

Large case because a good GPU will be massive and you want a lot of space in your case so you get good airflow and it's easy to clean and work around. Big PSU because I originally had a 500mw and everything was fine till I upgraded my GPU and my output was something like 550mw and I ended up having to upgrade a PSU and GPU at the same time which sucked.

You can go bargain and get an i5 but if you're anything like me, I'd just go i7 too so you never have to worry about upgrading for years.

For motherboards I just pick a brand I know of and make sure everything I want is compatible with it.

The 16gb of ram is overkill but if you want it go for it. I've never needed more than my 8gb for just gaming and I don't think the day will ever come.

Make sure you get 64 bit OS or the RAM past 4gb won't read. I just stick with windows 7 64 bit.

My rig is over 2 years old now and I run arma 3 with 40+ FPS. My GPU is a huge bottleneck compared to everything still. I use a AMD Radeon 7990, though. It's pretty dated but I'm perfectly content with how it runs my games.

I don't know if it's really possible to have a "mature" community when it involves MX unfortunately :P Yeah there's a handful of good people here already but MX in general just seems to attract younger people by the swarms. Not to say anything bad about anyone, either. If only people showed their "track etiquette" on the forums this place would be awesome. I remember when I was real young at the track and my bike ran out of fuel on the track and an older guy came up to me with his fuel jug and generously filled me up so I could continue riding.

Or just go to the GP bikes forums. That place is nice guy haven over there. They help you out, google stuff for you, massage your shoulders and even say good-bye before you close your browser.

When we get the goat, can we change the color of the hooves sort of like a rim? I'm thinking blacked out goat with gold hooves.

Lol... I was joking as most college students tend to pull all-nighters pretty frequently. Thought that sarcasm would be right up your alley.

I literally can't think of a single bug with any of Steam's functions. I understand if for whatever reason using a program to run all your games doesn't gel with you. But the UI is cleaner than a '14 YZ250  8)

Why do people never say why they don't like Steam? Every time it seems like it's just blanket statements. Do you guys who don't like it, not like it because you have to simply log in? The layout is confusing to you? What is it? Have any of you guys even used Steam in the last year or two?

I use auto log-in and haven't entered my password in probably over a year so logging in can't be troublesome. The Steam layout is super easy to navigate with buttons like STORE, LIBRARY, COMMUNITY and such hugely labeled at the top without clutter.

To someone saying they will play a game but not as much if it was on Steam kind of makes my eyes pop out a little bit. I guess I'll chalk it up to a humanities debate for another topic, as when MX181 said he likes MXS for teamspeak...Man I could go on and on about my dislikes for TS.

Anyway, we've already established that it's possible to have a game on Steam and it not affect the users who don't want to use Steam. Just gotta figure out what the rest of the community will want when it starts crowding in after the game releases.

Just basing my opinion off my own bias but, those other games that don't receive increased exposure from just being on Steam probably wouldn't be any better off if they weren't on Steam, either. There's quite a bit of terrible games on Steam, but a Motocross sim is something not everyone has seen or tried before.

I only advocate for steam so much, because I do love steam's service. I'm with Gdub too, I'm one of the sport's biggest fans and I just love seeing the sport grow in any way possible.

Admittedly there's also a handful of people who won't buy the game if it does go on steam. If only there was a workaround... :P

The point is: is there someone who would not buy a game because it is not on Steam?

The people who are oblivious that games exist beyond Steam/Origin/Desura and the likes.

To add to it, there's quite a bit of people who refuse to back a product unless there's a name associated with it. Kind of like not trusting a download link unless it's from your favorite hosting site, etc. People are weird.

Such a nice CR 125 dude. The graphics are so clean looking. I can't stand bikes that have too much crazy stuff going on over every inch of the plastics.
