Have you tried setting tilt to 20% in settings>simulation ?

Maybe we could increase the max. tilt slightly, but I really don't like the mxs 'locked to bike' view, it's not realistic at all.
What?? Lets put your distaste for MXS aside for a moment or is that not possible?  The real rider video posted by daffernn at top showed the guy cornering with his head/body tilt aligned with the bike in the corners. Braap570's post of photos is brilliant showing gp vs mx, with Dungey showing mx style with his head/body tilt aligned with his bike in the corner. I gave mxs just as an example and what happens..."I don't like mxs view" from the dev. (Got the same thing when asking for increased FOV settings by the way!) I suggested a % setting for "tilt" that might help solve this so we the owners can decide anything between stock camera aligned with horizon, or anything in between that and a bike aligned view. Win, win. There's been a lot of "it feels like a gp bike game" and here's a SIMPLE option to try to get away from that. Don't let your dislike of MXS get in the way of whats important here, the feel of the game and happy paying customers. ;)

Sure, of course. Having some type of % camera lean that allows us players to get that exact feel of how much lean the camera goes with the bike would be a good start. You got a suggestion?
33
Which would require the camera to lean more with the bike into the turns.

+1000 EXACTLY!! I come from MXSim and I wish this game would offer a little bit in game settings to cater to the mxs audience coming to mx bikes. Not much, just some camera settings like you point out. My problem is I really excel in MXS first person mode because the camera leans with the bike 100%. I have a really good feeling of what the bike is doing in a lean and how to correct the bike. Camera in mx bikes first person feels like it leans 0%. Your video illustrates that our head leans with our bodies and the bike, and in first person it really helps with steering if we could get that in this game.

I think Piboso could pretty easily incorporate a camera lean % setting that lets us control how much the camera tilts with the body and bike. So 0% setting camera behaves just as it does now. 100% and camera lean matches bike. Exception is  with rider controlled lean left/right, the camera matches what player lean input is doing.

Please Piboso!!!
Example in MXSim:

Example in Mxgp: I do notice that even playing Mxgp in first person I feel a bit more connected to the bike than in MX bikes, even though it seems Mxgp camera behaves very similar to this game. Some % setting would still be awesome though:

I can't play mxs in 3rd person, only in 1st person and need to play it in 1st to get my tires in the ruts. Third person in MXS to me is very hard as a sim and I slide out a lot, but in first person, because camera is rigged to the bike itself, I know exactly how the rear wheel is sliding out from the handlebars. Being in a rut helps, even if you don't see it in these 3rd person vids, because the depth and shading isn't obvious.

Ok, thanks teeds. That site shows 239 entries for practice track. I check this sites server status page and never see more than 1 guy playing out there. I was just curious I guess.

So Piboso what are you thoughts and plans of action on the recent criticisms/opinions on the supposed "street bike" handling and rear wheel/back end adjustments. I assume you are familiar with MXgp rear end handling that was previously mentioned? What are your thoughts on the implementation of that type of movement in mx bikes? Thank you Piboso. Sorry for the 21 questions, its just nice to hear our developer  actually have an input with the community unlike that biased bunch of deaf gimps on the MVA forum. :)
Familiar with MXGP?  ???
The rear tyre sliding is one of the two main problems of MX Bikes ( the other being the steer ).
To fix it, the plan is to tune the tyre parameters.
yeah sorry I should of elaborated further. Forgive me for using that awful comparison but it replicates the movement pretty well, I chose that specifically as it was exaggerated more thus making it easier to recognize.
+1 to fat's question regarding beta 3 containing these changes. Thanks again piboso

I don't think he knows that you are talking about the mxgp video game, nor has he played MXS if I recall correctly. If not, its a bit concerning just for having a dialogue and frame of reference about how other mx games behave and what good or bad behaviors those games have. If this game can figure out how to allow the bike to wheel spin/ slide the back wheel for corners and berms in a stabile manner like mxgp game and mxs to some extent, it would be a huge benefit.

Hmm, Im in Calif and definitely don't have that sort of high speed so what your saying is concerning Norcal.

Another thing I was just checking the stats.mx-bikes.com/records.php page and it listed 22 riders for MX1 and 32 entries/riders for MX2. Are those all the riders who have raced online?? Norcal, you said you raced online, I don't see your name.

Crazy angles? Wow, whatever I will use the stupid settings file if its that big of an issue. I was thinking around 100-110 just to get a better view of bike and a bit more peripheral for close racing of bikes in first person view. Btw, your engine doesn't think its crazy lol.

Will the FOV limit of 90 be increased on the options screen to allow for higher FOV? I understand the settings file or whatever can be changed but its annoying this limit is even in place.

First 2 hours, partly fiddling with settings, partly on practice track. First impressions are mixed. The structure of the game for supporting community content and things like bike settings and save/load setups is much nicer than mxs, so good job on that.  After a while of playing, the squeaky brake sound was starting to get annoying though. Main issue though was Im feeling a little nauseous after playing. I suspect its the camera system. I can play MXS in first person for hours and does not make me feel like I am right now after only 1 hour with mx bikes. The slow speed swerving wasn't helping. :o I want to support the game, but if its going to make me sick, I might have to pass.

How many rider stability settings will we be able to control?

???

Quote
And will we be only able to play in 1st person or will there be a 3rd person camera?

There are 3 cameras: 2 onboard and 1 external.

QUESTION REGARDING EXTERNAL CAMERA:
I am into radio control dirt bikes. I have the ability, with a usb device, to use my 3 channel radio to be used as a basic xy game controller (steering, throttle, brake). My question is regarding the modding of the camera. In mxsim, just for testing I can mess around and run the bike in 3rd person with my radio, but the camera is 3rd person and not realistic to radio control. Would your external camera be able to be placed at a position and pitch/yaw to track the bikes movement like a stationary replay camera?

My apologies for writing kid lol. Im older than him still so there's that. Sorry Reaper. Oh well, NDA's are for AAA titles, and like I said, indie devs, especially ones who look for crowd funding or just seem to enjoy community envolvement, have simple monthly blogs or a video of progress with seeming proud enjoyment of showing progress. This is a game being released in alpha state and the argument is about the release of alpha photos being released. Like I said, it makes no sense but if that's the dev's prerogative, I follow it. Original question was worth posting.

I bet I'm older than you  ;)  lol

I'll let you win that bet then haha!
