Ya a half hour ..Ive taught many people...Don't 3 and 4 year olds ride bikes? I think I saw chad reeds kid ride out in opening ceremonies... lol

I'm pretty sure that if you wanna learn how to be as fast as Chad Reeds kid it wouldn't take more then 30mins in MX sim.

although to have the ability to sit and go in straight line doesnt take long nor does it take long to roll around the track. yes it will take time to go from this stage to chad reed. although i see where mb is coming from

Looks amazing so far, PiBoSo. As someone who has worked on creating content for many motocross games I can say bring on mx-bikes! Looks like I'm coming out of retirement for this game. The detail you're going to make available in this game compared to others already has me really excited to fix up many unfinished models.

i also think you guy will be able to make you models so much more detailed and high poly then before with this game engine being able to run it smoothly.

Just to be sure...............
You said there was going to be an ingame editor right?

No editor. Neither ingame nor external.
There are tools to:
a) export meshes
b) convert text files, bitmaps and meshes to a format the engine can read
c) view the track
d) edit additional data ( race data, cameras, marshals, ... )

So placing billboards and models will be done at which one of those steps?

Between A and B, editing a text file.

Just a general observation pib. If something is hard, less people will try to learn how to do it, and with even less people achieving how to do it. The ingame track editor is easy as you dont need any other programs and everyone can do it. This also helps grow the community as more people will give it a go with more people achieving success. i for one would highly recommend a ingame editor. i know how much and if it will be a lot of extra work, but it will help grow a far bigger and better community.

Quote from: Motoboss on February 02, 2014, 05:16:16 PMIn real life you can learn how to ride a bike in about a half hour ..So why would a game need to be any different
The best argument point i've ever seen in relation to a mx game

curious to see how this will pan out as the ingame editor was mx simulator biggest win in my view. although i will wait eagerly hehe

Don't get me wrong i would love it to happen... A track to start out muddy and dry up and get grippier or the other way around ...that would be insane!!
It would be so dope. The tracks being made are going to be so easy to make though as all your going to have to do is build jumps and a few burms and then the ruts and lines will form. going to be sick, although pib said not to expect much in the first release i think everyone is expecting something sick haha

Do we have to have random people keep copying threads that we have on the Sim forums?
If these people are not going to do this what do you advise they do?

Since most are from sim, whatever you run on sim you will be able to run better on here as I can guarantee this game will not be as hard on you PC as sim

My wish list.

Multiplayer
If yes, multiplayer erode
Rider shadows
Multiplayer servers around the world (For example a server in Europe, one in Australia (definitely a must hehe) a server in the United States)
Bike sounds based of a in real life bike not just code
The ability to turn other riders bike sounds down and leave you bikes volume
Oculus rift support
85cc bike size range would be cool to see but not a must

Not even asking much hahaha

Sick, so the creation of tracks will be via height map!
