Suggestions and wishlist / Re: In Game voice chat

Quote from: Roarman136 on December 05, 2020, 10:39:00 PMMaybe an easy way to accomplish this would be to integrate with discord.
Create a discord voice channel when a new server is created something like that

If this is doable I like the idea.. I usually have discord chat going with my friends but it would be nice to have everyone in the server able to talk.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had the option to control the view of the camera when riding in 3rd person? Or even in 1st?

Even if only to have the option to map  buttons to view left & right this will be a big help in viewing surroundings. It would be even better if we could have 360° control of our view when riding. Many times I jump online to ride with friends and I want to record or watch them do something on the track from the view of my bike but I'm limited to my view of only whats ahead or directly behind me. And even greater than that, when I'm in a race and can hear competitors beside me or behind me but I can't keep track of them when using the 2 camera angles. This seems like a necessary function for this game. Most racing games I've played give you 360° control of the camera and it comes in handy in a lot of cases.

I've watched this game develop and grow a whole lot since I joined during Beta 7 and I hope the devs can add this to the piling list of improvements and implementations.

General Discussion / Re: 3rd Person Distance & Height

I agree as well. And also give the option to pan the camera with a button. Its hard for me to get on the track without cutting someone off because I can only see forward.

Bug Reports / Re: Online bugs anyone?

Lol well it must have just been a crazy coincidence cause after trying again multiple times with shadowplay still on everything looks normal except the push bike button layout.

Then I installed the update so shadowplay and the overlay was automatically enabled so I went to check again and this is what the button mappings looked like. This could be a coincidence maybe. I only checked once when shadowplay wasn't working, but there isn't a way to disable shadowplay(or at least I can't find a solid way) so I can't verify.

Quote from: Exotiks on July 09, 2019, 05:34:58 AMDon't know if this is just online or entire game, but whenever I launch the game I have to reset the bike push forward and back every time.
Yup I have this same issue as well. And sometimes if I load into a track it won't allow me to change the buttons back at all.

Exotiks do you have an Nvidia graphics card by chance. It may sound stupid but I think its related to shadowplay or the overlay. I downloaded a graphics update but didn't install it yet so my shadowplay overlay was disabled. I opened Mx bikes and went straight to the button mappings to check and see if I had the bug and everything looked normal.

Then open misc->bg and replace bg.amb and bg.map with the modded files. Remember to always keep back up files.

Thanks a lot for this much need mod Insane. I'm surprised no one did this sooner. I know its an old thread but just wanted to help out anyone new that might not figure it out right away.
You shouldn't have to touch any .pkz files for mods to work. You're only increasing the chance of things not working properly.

Yup, Like I added to my Thread that you should just open my zip and move the misc folder into the mxb install directory. No messing around with original files. Just overwriting them the same way like the mod folder does. Unfortunately misc stuff can't get changed with the mods folder way.

But thanks anyways ✌🏻
Yeah my apologies I misread your directions on the install and did it wrong lol.. Hopefully the mod installer you are working on will dummy proof the mod installation process lol..

Off Topic / Re: Combining

Idk I think it would be pretty cool to race around in a sim with different vehicles types. 2 things though. Pibs already has enough workload as is and updates are pretty slow(no offense), and I would guess that the different physics for each game wouldn't work in one game? Just a guess though cause I have no idea how the coding works.

Id like to add a couple of suggestions..

#1 The gearbox - I like the thought process on making shifting under load harder but this is a problem right now in the game. Sometimes pulling the clutch to shift still doesn't allow you to catch the next gear. This creates a bike limitation instead of creating a skill gap. I doubt I'm the only one that wants this to be scrapped. The old shifting was good the way it was.

#2 Tire Grip - Side to side tire grip is very unrealistically slippery. When driving in a straight line the grip is the best it has ever been in this game. But when turning and accelerating the rear end wants to do a complete 180 and I feel the way that it happens is greatly exaggerated. This is worse at lower speeds. Anyone else try to take off after a crash and ends up spinning around?

Thanks for releasing TFC. I am really happy with how many tracks are being released lately.. Even though I won't be able to play online for a while I've been enjoying them all offline..

Fun track but am I the only one that has an issue with the jumps that intersect?? It kicks the bike at weird angles no matter how much I lean to try and counter it
