Track Editing / Re: no more tracks???
January 22, 2018, 03:40:04 AM
If you're not happy with the amount of tracks being released, you could always try and release one yourself? That's what I'm doing at the moment, trying to make a track and release it, finding it quite difficult but I'm hoping that more people try, the more it will encourage others to try as well

Races / FLCS Round 1 - Winchester - 21/1/18 to 27/1/18
January 20, 2018, 04:11:42 PM

Welcome to the Inaugural Round of the Fast Lap Challenge Series!

The first round will be held at Winchester (not Winchester MXON). This page is where you post both screenshots to record your lap time. The first round at Winchester will open at 12:00am Sunday the 21st of January 2018 MX Bikes time (UTC + 0) and will close at 11:59pm Saturday the 27th of January 2018. No lap times will be counted outside of these times.

Any bike will be accepted however depending on the amount of competitors the series may be split into two classes. However this will be decided after the first round.

To find the rules and how to enter the competition click this link for more information:

http://forum.mx-bikes.com/index.php?topic=2086.msg30454#msg30454

Remember that you may only post your lap time once, so even if you do better after initially posting, your result will not be changed. At the same time, do not leave posting your lap time till the last minute as no posts will be counted after the deadline. I know i'll be posting my lap time a day or two early just to be safe.

To get the ball rolling, a discord has been set up (A big Thank You to PhillaN) in order for players to talk about their times during the week without having to post their final results here.

https://discord.gg/DS5wc96

Results will be posted shortly after the cut off time. Depending on the amount of applicants the timing of this could vary from week to week.

Thank you to anyone who enters and competes, this will only be a success through community involvement. So tell any friends who also play MX Bikes and get the word out about the series.

Good luck and may the fastest rider win!

Races / Re: 2017 Number Quest?
January 19, 2018, 05:15:26 PM
I know it's now 2018, but I'm gonna claim number 6, and if we are going with the whole 'must win a championship to earn a single digit number' then I'll go with 365... temporarily ;)

Now this might be fun to do. Which bikes did you have in mind, 125s, 250's, 250f's, 450's?

I was going to leave it open, but if enough people enter I will split it into 125/250Fs and 250/450

General Discussion / Fast Lap Challenge Series
January 19, 2018, 01:06:00 PM

What is the Fast Lap Challenge Series?

The fast lap challenge is a 7 round series in the game of MX Bikes over 7 weeks using 7 different tracks. Each track will be scored separately with an overall standings being tallied after each round.

Competition Details

Dates

Competition starts on Sunday, the 21st of January 2018 at 12:00am MX-Bikes Forum Time (UTC +0)
Each round Lasts Exactly a Week. The rounds go as follows:
1)   Round 1 – Winchester – 21/1/18 12:00am until 27/1/18 11:59pm
2)   Round 2 – Maryland – 28/1/18 12:00am until 3/2/18 11:59pm
3)   Round 3 – Washington – 4/2/18 12:00am until 10/2/18 11:59pm
4)   Round 4 – Forest – 11/2/18 12:00am until 17/2/18 11:59pm
5)   Round 5 – MXB Club – 18/2/18 12:00am until 24/2/18 11:59pm
6)   Round 6 – Practice Track – 25/2/18 12:00am until 3/3/18 11:59pm
7)   Round 7 – Nevada – 4/3/18 12:00am until 10/3/18 11:59pm

How To Enter

Entry is Free, to Enter a round of the Fast Lap Challenge, simply log in to the MX Bikes Forum and post 2 screenshots of your lap time from the game in the correct forum page of that round. I will be posting a new topic for each round. The First Screenshot needs to be taken in the Testing; Pit; Laps tab like so:

The second Screenshot needs to be taken of the exported lap time file. In the screenshot above, you can see the Export button below the Ideal Lap Time. Once exported, you can find the file in your 'documents' folder; PiBoSo/MX Bikes/exports. Open in the file in your internet browser and take a screenshot of the results.

Both the lap times in the screenshots must line up correctly. Please see the cheating section of this document to see what are the consequences of manipulating a lap time.
You may only post one lap time in the forum each round. If any competitor posts multiple lap times, only the first lap time will be taken while the others will be discarded.
Any lap time posted before the round has began will not count.
Any lap time posted after the round has finished will not count.

Scoring

Once a round has been completed, each competitors lap time will be documented and scored using the Olympic Style of Scoring. For example, the best lap time will score 1 Point, while the 15th best lap time will score 15 points.
If a competitor does not compete in a round, they will be given the score of last place + 1 for that round.
In the case of two or more competitors posting times that are exactly the same, they will be given equal points and the next competitor will be given points equal to their position. For example:
4th – 1:07:098 – 4 points
5th – 1:07:122 – 5 Points
5th – 1:07:122 – 5 points
7th – 1:07:144 – 7 points

Results will be posted shortly after each round, as soon as I can tally up the scores and count the points.

Cheating/Manufacturing a Lap Time

There is absolutely no tolerance to cheating. If you are caught manufacturing a lap time, you will be immediately disqualified from the series and be striped of all points earned in previous rounds. You may also be suspended from possible future competitions.

Thank you to anybody who competes and shares this around.
This series will only work through community involvement, so tell any friends of yours who play MX Bikes about this series and encourage each other to play.

So any questions?/Have I missed anything?

Paints / 2018 Shift Blue Label Gear
January 15, 2018, 02:57:27 PM
Hey there guys! This is my first attempt and release of gear on MX-Bikes. I'm currently only releasing the 2018 Shift Blue Label Gear but if anyone would like it I can also release Dean Wilson and Ken Roczen versions with their name and number as well. If anyone would like the PSD's just send me a direct message and i'll happily send it to you (for free, non of that paying stuff they do at mxsim) or if you'd like me to alter anything myself for you personally, like name and number, let me know as well and i'll try my best.

Has anyone got any suggestions of what gear they would like me to build? I'm thinking of attempting Ken Roczens white A1 jersey next. Let me know what you think!

P.S. I'm also looking at designing some tracks but i'm finding it a bit difficult. If anyone can point me in the right direction or provide any tips i'd gladly take them on board.

Cheers!
