I've played the demo in VR. I just play on my laptop now (motion sickness). Its definitely locked to horizon. Any up/down movement of the camera is the person looking up and down with the headset. It isn't a big deal but I think it looks more natural with the bike moving under you vs. locked to the bike

Its really noticeable in the whoops. I'd say at least have it as an option. If it interests you, there is a program called real head motion for racing sims that locks the camera to the horizon at a percentage, so that it filters out the small bumps but doesn't pitch the camera too much when going up/down steep hills. (basically full control over the camera). Maybe something like this?

I noticed the there wasn't a setting to lock the camera to horizon (vertically). It is, in my opinion, smoother and more realistic. It is on in VR but I don't think there is a setting in the regular game unless I am missing something. I don't think this would be difficult to add and would be appreciated   ;D

Well if you hang in there, eventually my tutorials will have this.

I figured it out. I was having errors with fbx2edf when using sketchup. I think it had to do with how sketchup exports .fbx files (or I was doing something wrong). Instead I imported the models into blender, ran them through fbx2edf and then used trackED to place them with success. Thought I'd share. Anyways thanks for the tutorials they were a big help.

I decided I'd have a go at making a track yesterday with 0 experience, but now I'm stuck. I'm not sure how to add objects (trees specifically). Not sure what programs to use or how. Im looking for the easier/quickest way. If somebody could point me in the right direction or help me out that would be great.

Here is the progress so far. I sculpted the track in L3DT and then textured it with a single 2048x2048 google earth texture that I painted over in GIMP. I think it came out ok. It's a sandy track. Its groomed often irl but this would be it at its roughest.
