Take a look at the maps in the example track for reference.  As Sloofa noted, specular lighting effect is set in the normal map's alpha channel.

Big thanks, these test tracks are crazy good!

BTW - Any chance Ruubs can share his texturing method?   I saw the screenshot from his new SX track and it looks awesome.  This would only benefit the community in general.

Thanks for the track! Rides really well and provides a realistic feel of hard base w/loose dirt on top.  Only thing I really wish you could add is some race line definition to the track's surface material, or at the very least some lighter/darker shading in the corner berms.  Really difficult to see these until you're right on top of them due to the super clean texture.

Sarcasm albeit unfounded IMO.  These test tracks have massive skill gap and your average rider is going to struggle.  Yet, you watch some of the videos from better riders and they have no problem.  SX in general is much more difficult in MXB, which I feel is a very good thing and quite realistic.

Noticed any races run on TNMX get recorded as Winchester on the stats page.  Do recall watching a Gdub stream where TFC commented he would like to update the track at some point (I think it's perfect myself).

Only way around this currently is to ensure you're on a dedicated server that has good bandwidth.  Client hosted server always seems to have the problem you described.

Wow, this looks damn good, notably so for a 1st track.  I like that it appears to be quite tech with a lot of variety.  Those steep downhill corners are going to be crazy good in an online races ;D .

You can also download it from MXB-Mods.com.  Use the search box at very top right of this website, search for "Compound" and it will pop right up.

I've got scanned data for LACR MX & Diablo MX Ranch.  However, job and family responsibilities haven't allowed for much free time this year. Below are a couple of screenshots.

Try installing OpenAL, which the game engine utilizes for audio, via the standalone installer.  I believe it's installed with Steam but I know this has corrected audio issues a couple other users had.
