Track Editing / Normal maps

Hey  :D

Just wondered if anyone has experimented with normal maps? Using the stock ones that come with the example track everything looks great, but I tried making my own using crazybump? Worked great until I got them in map viewer....


Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? same shininess setting as using the stock ones... also tried reducing intensity in crazybump.. 

Other than the odd thing I don't understand.. having a lot of fun with track editing!

Track Editing / Figuring out scale for L3DT obj export

So im nearly ready to start adding objects, and im using L3DT for my raw conversion and some heightmap work. Only thing is im not sure about the scale. Its been a good tool for modding and smoothing the map.

when you import your heightmap it gives you some options but ive just been guessing to get it to look right as the export just packs the image into a raw file. Anyone got any ideas as to what values I should be putting in to get the correct scale so I can export as obj for use in sketchup?

The link at the top is a quick look at the import menu im referring to.. phone wouldn't let me paste down here lol.


Any advice appreciated, thanks in advance!

Paints / Fox Intake 2014 Rider Pack

Hey

Have been working on this for a few days and put a LOT of work in to it!

Thought it might be good to make some proper gear so had a look and chose the Fox Intake stuff as it looked pretty good. Decided I wanted to make a pack - something that had a few good colour schemes.

So you got blue yellow, blue white, green blue (multi coloured) and Glen Helen. The Glen Helen stuff I think is limited edition, not too sure. Either way I could only find the gear, not gloves and helmet. The gloves and helmet are just an imagining of what they would look like if they made them.

So you can mix and match, use just the gloves, just the helmet, just the gear whatever you wanna do. hope you guys enjoy!

You can put them in manually, or just extract to your MXB folder as the folder structure is all complete in the zip. You can choose skip or replace files and folders as it will just be the folders that share the same name.









If anyone want's any other specific Intake stuff, I think they do like a black and white, a patriot type one etc... I can probably knock it out pretty quick just shout  ;D

Hey guys,

Didn't wanna fill the paint topic with stuff that isn't a release..

Any chance we can skin the protections? can these be included in the template?

Also, can you please tell us how to install custom fonts?

Hey here you go, Rockstar KTM, rider gear, helmet and gloves..

Haven't done boots cause I think there is a template change, stock boots look ok, Gdub's boots are a perfect fit so use em! and WOW the screenshots look blurry, should have upped the graphics for them..

Download has the folders so you can just bug em in and get going..

Can we have the new boots template? Gdub's boot template is mirrored but the only one we have in the template download is single..

Hey PiBoSo,

Couldn't think of where to post it so here will do I guess.. Sorry of this has been covered already, but the only ref I could find to it was in the 'questions' thread, and it never got answered from what I could find...

How do bike numbers and jersey numbers / names work? Is it going to be something we have to skin? or something we can add over the top of skins?  Seems a bit more relevant now the templates have been released.

Also, can we have a skin template with labels for what parts are what? or is it just worth holding out for the game to be released as I'm guessing it's not that far away  ;D
