Thanks teeds, half hour on google images and I couldn't find one clear pic! Got any more angles? :)

Got a bit more time to work on objects recently, making them all from scratch but it doesn't take long in sketchup, real easy to use! So added bleachers, start box, big sign, wood tower behind sign, tents, I think that's it for now. Got the grid lined up too updated the race data.

Next on the list:

Control tower - if anyone has any pics of this thing that would be great!
Couple of small buildings nearby
Environment scenery - so grandstands in distance and PIR track bridge (only basic these ones)
Still messing with the trees.

Can anyone guess what track this is?

Are we expecting a release anytime soon?  8)

General Discussion / Re: Gyro effect and counter-steering

I think when every component that plays a part in the bike handling is simulated accurately then these components are probably not at fault. I'm far more interested in some of the automated rider responses. Could potentially be something to do with the track surface too.

But until we hear from piboso on this one we can only guess.

Standing, but in a corner with a leg out this should not make a difference.

I do agree with you, completely..

but, you do have a sit option  ;D
2557
Were you sitting or standing when taking that shot?

We won't know until someone makes one  ;D

My current plan is to finish TNMX, tidy up second track then work on an SX, but it won't be a replica to start off.

hoping sometime in a future update we might be able to place surrounding heightmap tiles..
Why not use a 3d model? It's easier to do and it needs less polygons.
Just make a medium poly plane, attach a displace modifier to it, add the heightmap you want for the surrounding and you have a 3d model for terrain. :D

It just always seems there is a slight gap between that and my heightmap, no matter how 'exact' everything is..

But saying that I am using sketchup, not sure how accurate it is / I am with the placement of the track object. Also I don't own max, can't afford it, and haven't got time to learn  :(

But I'd love to use objects.  ;D

Looking good man, looks really clean, good job so far!

If I have one piece of advice, it would be to allow room off track, unless you plan to do the close off track environment with objects. I have got as far as track done and objects placed and have tried 3 off track scenery objects (as in ground) and haven't managed to get a good lineup yet!

hoping sometime in a future update we might be able to place surrounding heightmap tiles..

keep it up man look forward to seeing progress!

Sure. The only thing on auto is gears and clutch at the moment but will take that off at some point.

brake and wheelie help off are where you should notice the biggest improvement.

Using xbox one controller, I have direct lean at 100%, smooth rider lean l/r 80%

I think the important thing I've learned is riding with the least amount of assists provides the most enjoyment. Both in satisfaction and the bikes ability.

I find it pretty easy to consistently whip, it's a learning curve like everything else.

+1

it's not the be all and end all but it would be useful.

I've never used a controller on my pc for any game, always been a keyboard racer and it never held me back until I played mxb, think I lasted 2 hours before getting the xbone controller out lol

Nice one. I'll come in for a few laps if I ever see it up, I don't get a lot of free time.
