So nearly finished the gravel pit track. Lots of fun to ride, big jumps big corners bit bumpy. Really made it to test out textures and what you can get away with.

So far I have it real nice looking, rock, gravel, compacted gravel track surface, all with their own normal maps to make the textures pop. Also made rutts with tire tracks which have normals and you really do notice them when riding in game although I'm not sure I'll do it again - will take a bit more work to get them to look spot on but have tried to make them looks as deep as possible without changing the heightmap as it bones the riding factor. Also used the gravel surface so you get a nice light roost and the back end is a bit more happy.

Will release soon, just gotta re-build the centerline and sort the gates out as I've spaced them apart by 4 feet each for no reason!

So what do you think?

I just get a white box in preview, so here is a link just in case you cant see it

direct lean on, hold the stick at an angle and your guy will lean at that angle until you let go of the stick... simple.. unless you play with a keyboard of course  :-\

if you specify a sand layer instead of soil you will get sand particles

funny that i got it working since i can feel i'm riding on sand, the bike looks like it's riding a bit deeper in the ground..but i have no particles at all..

This is as far as ive got too ...

I'm glad it wasn't just me, track felt real strange!

Odd though how there doesn't feel like a lot of difference between grass and soil... Guess its mostly the same to ride on except when wet...

I dunno, I changed it - my roost completely disappeared, and I found it real hard to stay up on the bike. Might have been a coincidence  :-\

I'd LOVE it if there was a way to adjust grip on surfaces. Would make sand sections awesome fun, snow tracks, wet tracks, maybe there is a way?

Its weird because I've had the bike flip out funny on a lip and go upside down with no bail out.

Also found that the guy doesn't bail so much when standing

Thanks snappe,

One question on the roost though, I changed it from soil to sand in the tht file but nothing changed... Do I need to add any texture files? I notice that there aren't any 'soil' texture files in the example track so a bit confused  ??? (nothing new there lol)

I didn't really want to start a new topic for this as I've started a few, but is there a way to have no ground texture when adding grass?

For example, I'm just adding dry twigs, and don't want to change the ground texture beneath the foliage - how would I do this?

Have tried a few things with no luck..
