yes but fangel the reason mxsim whips are ugly are because the rider models and how they are positioned, they dont look realistic but its not easy to whip in mxsim and you have to practice alot to be able to do a whip/scrub and i feel like mxsim have whips down pretty well. the bike comes back naturally. just the rider never keeps his head straight he is stuck to the bike and so thats why he goes upside down.

Here is an example of what I mean. How on earth would that be possible? :)

I have seen a lot of people asking about whipping so here's my opinion.

I know what I am about to say is going to become very unpopular, but so far I've enjoyed not logging on to a server and see people whip everywhere. I have spent a lot of time practicing whipping it ingame, and that resulted in me being able to do a few small, but awesome-feeling scrubs. The keyword here is practice. Whipping in real life is not easy, and mostly it's only pro  (or highly skilled) riders whipping it left and right. What I'm concluding (I guess) is that whipping in a simulation shouldn't be easy, as it isn't in real life. I'd love to be able to whip, but I'd love to be able to have to practice to master it. Not just "press 'X' to do a whip, press 'O' to do a scrub"

If you look at MXS, the whips look horribly unnatural and you can do some crazy looking whips where your head is basically upside down. That seems to have become the standard, so now everyone is whipping unnaturally everywhere.

Just my humble opinion.

Thank you for reading.

We shouldn't forget the MX Simulator dosen't have to be the standard. Personally, and this is my opinion only, MX Bikes feel better already than MX Simulator. In MXS you are able to drive in this angle \ for miles straight, if you just get the throttle right - I find that a bit weird as I would guess the more speed you get, the more the bike will try to stand upright like this |, that's why you can't turn your own handlebars when you're going high speeds. To counter that, you lean the bike, not turn the handlebars. I guess when you're in a turn, to center the bike back after a turn, you would counter-lean.

Just my humble opinion.

EDIT: I changed my FOV to 110 as I saw somewhere on the forums, and that has made me able to do several laps without crashing. The first person camera is a lot more precise like that in my opinion!

Yeah, I am having issues even seeing the servers. Also, do you guys find it hard to know if you're seated or not in first person mode?

Now I have some questions, I will add it the the original post as soon as I get the answers - if there is a fix to them of course.

1. My L/R Lean dosen't seem to do anything (SOLVED)
I have assigned it to one of my joystick axes, however, turning, twisting or otherwise violently twitching them dosen't seem to have any effect? Anybody has the same thing?

2. The second first person camera dosen't seem to be affected by rider movements
If I lean forward, I see the rider body going through the camera.
Thank you.

First off, hi all!

This is my first post, after lurking around the forums for a long time and now puchasing after playing the demo yesterday.
I see many questions being asked over and over again, with the same replies so I tought I would gather all that information in one place. I'm going to update this post with whatever fixes we come up with.

(For now, these were the issues I had)

Here goes:

1. IF YOU GET THE OPENAL32.DLL ERROR ON INITAL LAUNCH
Download this file:
https://code.google.com/p/rallyraid/downloads/detail?name=oalinst.zip&can=2&q=

(Got it from the Steam forums)
--

2. IF YOU CAN'T ASSIGN YOUR JOYSTICK IN THE INPUT AREA
Make sure to press the CALLIBRATE button at the top-left corner of the first Input page.
--

3. IF CONTROLS ARE REVERSED
Re-assign the buttons, but make sure to assign them reverse. You can see the change if it changes from e.g.:
C1 Axis4 <> to C1 Axis4 >< or the other way around
--

4. IF YOU NEED TO SPLIT THE TRIGGERS INTO TWO AXES
Quote from: Snappe on September 30, 2014, 07:45:11 PM
Download this and put it in the MX Bikes/plugins folder:

http://www.kartracing-pro.com/downloads/xinput.dli

It will split the triggers into 2 axis!
--

5. MY L/R LEAN DOSEN'T DO ANYTHING
Go to the simulation tab and disable automatic lean.
--

6. I CAN'T PLAY ONLINE
Make sure you read the email that you are sent, when purchasing MX Bikes!
Go to http://stats.mx-bikes.com/register.php and follow instructions.
--

I hope some people will find this useful,
Thank you.
