pros from beta 8 to 9:
other riders and bikes were much smoother in general;
i did not witness really any jumping around and was not afraid to battle with someone;
the major lag on the starting gate was non existent for me, all the riders together(even though there was a nice pileup) were smooth.

cons from beta 8 to 9:
horrible lag when someone connects(as stated before);
collisions with other riders were quite finicky, the front end felt soft and squishy and sometimes would not do anything, the rear end was solid as a rock and did not budge. so if you run into someones back end, its like hitting a rock, but if you run into someone front end its like nothing really happens but you do feel it move you around;
bikes getting stuck in bikes, i was dragged from the second straight away in red bud all the way until the pro section's uphill triple.

heres a video of the stress test race on red bud to give you an idea on the improvements between people, it was a blast with no major issues(minus bikes being stuck in each other sometimes)

enjoyed the stress test, if we could have that many people all the time online then it would be a blast.

You really need to provide a good Wiki on how to do mods. Right now, it's still very fragmented and vague information and at least for MX Bikes I would say maximum 5 people know how to build a bike from scratch, and around 10 how to build a track. Such a game thrives on community made content.

I think in terms on content, it's more than enough with the base game for a Steam release provided users will make more content. But you only have one shot on Steam, so yeah...
thats a good post in general. i agree about the wiki, but at the same time, if someone knows how to create a bike model then i feel they have the resources to do their own research to port it in game. otherwise a list of video tutorials would be helpful from the community. i have been wanting to upload a basic track making tutorial just to get people started, but i dont think the community is really big enough yet to have a new wave of content creators.

ah that would mostly explain it, i saw it pop out once with my view when i was laid way over in a steep berm, the other issue is i cant seem to really get my leg out period even when watching in third person unless im leaned very very far over.

actually, i just DLed the oem mod pack and been testing the huski mx2 bike and its night and day transformation, its great, controllable and stable compared to the stock bikes, so another question i have now is, is the reason that the stock bikes are unstable because of setups that can be adjusted or are the stock bikes just crap.
sorry for so many noob questions, just want to have a better understanding of the game/sim.
thanks.
setup makes a large difference. if i dont feel like tuning a bike to the track, i just go down 2 on preload for front and rear and one up on the spring in the rear and it feels like it tracks better and is more predictable

it would be nice to be able to adjust the default camera position a little. whenever i play i have to scoot my chair forwards and lower it a little, reset the camera and then back up and raise the chair to have a view thats very close to the barpad. no big deal but would be a nice feature in the far future :)

the bikes alot of fun to ride. one thing i did notice, the rear brake pedal, when you press the button the lever animates away from the bike instead of vertical up/down. and for whatever reason i cannot enter the garage in multiplayer with it or my game crashes

Pretty fun ;D maybe make some finishing touches and it could be a release. Try adding in more berms.
berms are for cowards. added a sx track and a little freestyle section and reshaped alot of the jumps and made it more rider friendly
