You're welcome! Usually you'll get responses if you're polite and you lead with an offer of money. You were definitely polite, so if nobody replies, try dangling a bill or two.  8)

YES YOU CAN! I really appreciate you not saying "thanks in advance". Here's a good start to track making tutorials... http://forum.mx-bikes.com/index.php?topic=2979.0

General Discussion / Re: Always Air Wheeling on SX?

Quote from: Danner734 on February 10, 2023, 09:18:53 PMI can't seem to keep my front end to not want to point towards the sky every jump.
Technique aside, I found that once you get the sag for a particular bike set, you can tailor your suspension to fight exactly your problem! I won't/can't list all of the numbers right now since I'm on break at work. I just use less high-speed rebound damping in the rear(Higher number in bike setup menu) and more high-speed rebound damping in the front(Lower number in bike setup menu) to fight high front end all the time. This allows the rear to spring back faster and prevents the front from springing back as fast. Just start with no more than 3 clicks at a time. Also, you might try just one end at a time, but both at the same time in opposite directions will help more. Hope this made sense and helped!

If you try a couple of times, it sometimes works.

If you mean editing the .ini file, then there's limits on how far you can adjust settings. There is no "physics" tweaking going on, so you can kill that conspiracy theory. SO many people are frustrated when they go online or see videos of other riders totally railing corners and hitting every line, thinking "I should be that fast, I race IRL." GET OVER IT!!! Every single skill game has a skill gap. I look like a beginner when I go online, but that doesn't mean they're cheating. To anyone who's frustrated...go practice and experiment with suspension settings to see the differences. Just put more time in.

There's a lot to that. Be more specific.

Another very simple solution to this would be to avoid paid content. Unless you want to support a race series or creator by purchasing a season pass or paid content, you have tons of free content to choose from. You're wasting energy and time by going over the same ground so many before you have done in futility. The passion is great! Just accept the pace of development we currently have since nothing will realistically change that. Just chill and keep grinding like the rest of us! It's changed for the better gradually.

Keep in mind this is basically a one-man operation. You are one in a long line of folks who swear this should be easier to master and more approachable to "experienced" riders. If I had a nickel for every angry newbie to motocross sims, I'd have a whole shitload of nickels. Just git gud.  :o  8)

The obvious answer would be to spend a Twenty or so on a keyboard. Otherwise, there are 3 tabs in the menu for Input. See if one of them is for "seat position" or whatever the label is and reassign it to a working key. If it doesn't, it looks like you'll be low ridin'.  8)

Agreed. I have to go into 2D mode and crank the FOV all the way to max and it still seems maybe 10-15 degrees off from being what I would like. I tried changing it in the .ini but it didn't affect it. Hope PiBoSo opens up the max value to about 20 degrees higher.

I've tried looking up and hitting the "Reset VR" button and I've also tried looking down and resetting the view. My nausea seems to come from the FOV being too narrow. It seems like I need to zoom out a little more for it to not feel like I'm looking through binoculars. Try the view reset while looking up or down to see if that helps.

Quote from: Drock on January 17, 2023, 05:16:29 AM...sometimes I completely understand why I biffed but most of the time you sit there scratching your head saying .. wow that wasn't even in the realm of realistic.
This is a very common and familiar gripe. If you'd tried MX Sim, over the years you'd see a lot of the same complaints about the not-so-real incidents and physics inaccuracies from lots of IRL riders like in here. These are basically one man dev teams, so the time it takes to get all of the legitimate feedback implemented into the game takes years. If you played MXB from 2014 on, you'd be praising how for we've come on improvements! Keep practicing and be patient so when the changes do come, we'll have an advantage over noobs.

If you think you're experienced in MX games after that statement, then you really haven't tried MX games. The impatience and rage are all YOU problems.

Next time, ask them if they saw a number in the ping column in the server list. I think there is a threshold where you can't join if the ping is too high, in which case it's a "---" ping. It might be around 300-400 ping, I don't know (PiBoSo could chime in here). I think that once or twice I have been able to join a server with no ping, but it's so rare I can't remember how long ago it was and recommend against it. I guess it doesn't hurt to refresh and keep trying if you're bored?
