Do you sort by ping in the server list? It's pretty impossible to join a server with a "---" ping value. That's one way to make sure you've isolated the problem.

OEM .18 fixed it for me! I can join any server with a ping number now. Great sounds and physics from the new bikes!

I crank up the preload and spring rate, drop the compression damping to near nothing and crank the rebound damping to past the middle. After that I tweak them all for comfort, neutral handling and survivability. The game fixes help a lot too!

It's the opposite of other games, emulating real-life clickers instead of "Damping level". Once I figured that out I basically inverted my suspension numbers too.

I don't know other than having those bikes ready in a non-game folder, ready to swap in when you want or need to go into a server with all of those SM and mini bikes. I had all of the SM content before and I couldn't join "normal" servers so I gave up. I had no problems joining servers last week, now I'm getting "Bike Unknown to Server" when trying to join any of them. There's some OEM update or something I guess I need to get now. It's rough chasing content compatibility, but we get a few months of online play together until the next major update changes that, which we want in order to progress the game.

That's the mini's and SuperMoto mods. If you use those, it will be hard or impossible to join other servers. It's tough having a config that gets you into all servers.

As long as you have the resolution correct, the ratio should be rite.

General Discussion / Re: Rider Name on Jersey

Main menu. Profile or rider profile. One name at the top is for the profile, the name in the middle is what appears on the back of your jersey. You can pick a number between 1-999 too.

Try changing your body lean, sit or stand and throttle setting. There's many combinations there to try, so try them all and compare the results!

Firstly: Don't have multiple installs or you're asking for problems.

Secondly: If you wish to not simulate real features like engine management, go to the Simulation tab in the Settings menu and make sure all of the Assist boxes are ticked/checked so you can't stall the motor. As you improve you can uncheck one at a time until you're more comfortable with all of the controls available. Otherwise, you have to manage the clutch, gearbox and engine. You can even put it in neutral by going from 1st gear into a short tap of the upshift. I find it challenging to have everything simulated so I have to do tear-offs and pull the clutch in for tight turns and fanning the clutch coming out of slow turns while keeping it in the correct gear. Before the starts, I'll have it in neutral so I can adjust my goggles. 8)

Bug Reports / Re: Bike mismatch issue
December 09, 2022, 10:38:50 PM
It takes a while for the community to catch up with a new version. Especially if it changes the bikes or tires. Remember, these are all people doing all this work for free and also not charging for content. Give them some time, or if it's not fast enough, do it yourself. 8)

Bug Reports / Re: Cant set up my controls (J2 POV 1 N-S)
December 08, 2022, 06:06:41 PM
Do you have any other controllers connected? Try making sure it's the only one connected. Make sure there's not a trigger being pressed or a drifting joystick axis that might instantly assign when you go to assign.

I SURE HAVE! The turning alone is a game changer from the fork fix. The tire edge interaction along with that make a much more enjoyable riding experience with realistic saves, slides etc.

Hey Matt. In the MX Bikes main menu, hit ctrl-v and you'll see the current version in the bottom-right corner of your screen. As far as the bikes go, make sure you have the correct format in the correct location. Some files are .pkz files that you DON'T unzip. Pay attention to the destination folder and make sure it's in "documents" location instead of the Steam location. Not the best help but good luck!
