hmm... If I don't tell you, you will think that I have gained some skill I don't have and am planning to bring you some epic mx track, lol...so I'll share


BETA 5 allows something I was unable to accomplish with Beta 4  (Thank you Pibs, I plan to point his out on its own thread)

True Free-Ride..beta 4? (NO)

Beta 4: forces you to respawn at the center-line..this pretty much ruined "free-ride" bc you were teleported when you fall..so I had to make specific "trails".
Beta 4: unable to cross/touch the center-line, this also created havoc when attempting to deal with trails that cross one another.
Beta 4: deformation (simply, not super great)


Beta 5: Respawn where you fall??!! This fixes everything... basically, to hell with a center-line on a true free-ride track!! woot
Beta 5: can't cross center-line? once again, who needs it haha (free-ride only)
Beta 5: deformation is good enough to carve trails with your bike!

So, I am going to try and make a free-ride world, that you (YOU) make and find your own lines.. inspired by Mace and his sick free-ride skillz

*Some may not find that entertaining, however I love the idea of carving my own trail and following back through it! To solve this, I would like to add some single-track and a simple MX (kinda like the ridge, but better as I get better..

anyway, not a huge deal but thanks to Beta 5 and Pibs either way!


Edit: The only thing I hope world creator helps me do is make more realistic terrain, which is obvious.

Update - quick review


World creator is super easy and beautiful!!

I made a very nice terrain in no time with trees, rocks, bushes, grass and power of 2 texturing?!


Reasons why you may want to wait..

Roads and Rivers will be as easy as a brush stroke..but not shipped just yet

**Saving/Exporting is not available just yet.. they say another 2 weeks or so

so, basically its worthless for MXB at this point but I can tell you.. its great and I don't think anyone will have an excuse to not bring tracks to MXB!

I actually had that idea as well. Mine would then consist of a big forest (made like my enduro track I released), a river, roads, dirt roads and perhaps a little mx track. I'd then make it playable for both WRS (rally course) and Mx Bikes (motocross, enduro, supermoto).

Fats, yes.. looks like you can import/export objects & textures from WC2.  (plenty of trees, shrubs, rocks already exist in the beta  )

My favorite thing so far is the automatic (parameters to preference) object placement... 1 click and trees cover the map

Can you create and save "mound shapes" to the paste everywhere? Wonderingif it is as usuable as PS for SX tracks.
