That's part of the learning process honestly.. My settings are slightly on the arcade side but, I'll share a little and you play around with it and find your liking.

Direct Lean: 80-100% (bike stands back upright on it's own)
Stability: 100%  (default - don't touch it)

Brakes:

"Brake" and "Rear Brake", I assign both to my left trigger.

"Brake": Check box "smooth" / Press: 100% / Release: 10% / Gain: 100%
"Rear Brake": "smooth" / Press 100% /Release 100% / Gain: 50%

(I find these brake setting allow heavier braking)

Cornering?
1st, make sure you go into settings and VERIFY VISUALLY that your joystick is mapped correctly, lean left and right and make sure its actually not inverted(left goes left/right goes right) by accident. This happens more than we think to new combers in the settings depo, for me at least.

Considering its a sim.. take everything slower and then pick up speed as you get better. It's really the main advice.

Light on throttle until you get better and light on brakes...

Stick with mx2 (250f's) for now!! The 450 will slip and slide everywhere
