I love the help I get, really helps me a lot!

Trying A/C/G atm. Figuring out different strumming patterns to mix it up and also moving the capo around to change the sound.
What do you mean by 'single note'? I don't really understand that part. I also didn't understand a word from your last sentence about a nice way to help someone learn guitar faster.

I've been looked at some loopers, and i'd love to have one. Does it work with acoustic guitars though? I know it works with electric acoustic, but I have 100% acoustic, nothing electric in it.

Currently I have a metronome app on my smartphone. Sometimes I also use google or some website on the interwebs.

Again, watch this damn video!

He is on electric, but it doesn't matter! This is for any and all (especially new) guitar players! And perfectly explains what you need to do imo (especially when he is in chord part of lesson doing E-D-G I think).

Playing along with something (even metronome) is better than looper in my opinon.

Totally forgot to reply to you Geo!

I definitely will check the video out sometime. Not sure when I'll have the time though, but I'm going to watch it.

Dude it is only 40 min or so and will change how you approach playing (and what to learn next).

All about finding your goals/desires and how to do it. (takes couple times watching to really sink in).

Do I have to watch it and try things on my guitar at the same time? Because then it'll take a lot more than 40 mins, at least for me. My old brain can't handle lots of things anymore. ???

No! That is not at all what this is about.

Watch this in it's entirety at least once (recommend several times) and really listen to what he is saying.

This is best advice ever from a guitar "god".

Seriously, he says exactly what u need right now.

I say several times to watch (just save it somewhere and watch over next couple years as desired) because everytime you do you gain something you didn't hear first time.

It really isn't a direct lesson, but more of the approach you need for playing. Which, is best lesson (especially in beginning) to have.

Has changed my playing over last few years for sure! Wish I would of had this as beginner.

It really is finding yourself and expressing yourself on the instrument. Be you!

But great advice to do it!

And just to keep this going :)  LMAO

What is meant by "single notes" is this video (my favorite guitarist again).

A chord doesn't just have to be strummed in it's entirety, but rather played. It can be done many ways and a great expression is picking out individual elements of it!

And this is last last video of what I have to offer (which again is incredibly good advice to keep within you).

Take this advice my friend (wish I was good enough to tell you myself), but take it and create!

Ahh.. I didn't realize you are strictly acoustic. The looper won't work.

As far as "a nice way to learn guitar".. I was just saying that I have a way of teaching new players that works really well but requires "in-person" or possible "web camera" if no-lag..but sadly through text messaging, I am unable to do the method.

I got a cheap Hohner acoustic and a cheap Ibanez lol.

I just play acoustic because im too lazy to plug in the amp and all that.

I have .12 gauge strings on my acoustic and play some of my favorite metal songs on it.
