Title: Rider shadow on elevation
Post by: Niko Mouk on March 21, 2016, 01:41:04 AM
I put the sun at y=3 to test shadows and this is the result :

What's the problem.. No track shadows to match?

Its not clear whether you're asking a question or making a statement.

Assuming you've done that by editing your tracks .amb file, you need the same values in your Params.ini in your track folder before you compile.

The problem is the shadow of the rider lost 20 meters on the right, this absolutely don't look realistic no ?

Sorry if I was not precise, I mentioned the y=3 to explain that you can reproduce this bug when the sun isn't too high. Params and amb are the same yep.

Yeah the problem is that terrain doesn't self-shadow. Best keep the sun a little higher for now  :)
