Seems like its worth a shot to try and get this thing to sound half way like a real 2-stroke (may be impossible)

Obviously needs plenty of work.
Anyone who has audio experience please take what I do and make it better!

Would be so much better if MXB had the option to segregate all the gears and change the audio for each one.

5 downloads..

any feedback so far on the start of 2.0?

Logical feedback please as I am no expert - very far from it (this started as a goof off project a while back)

It's pretty good so far. If there could be a way where if your just free-revving the bike in the air, it could have a different on_high sound, but that probably isn't possible. It sounds as if its coming in its powerband in the air which doesn't sound right. But its definitely better then what is was before. :)

Yeah, this is because I am not actually creating audio clips that the game was designed for.
Luckily on the 4-stroke you can add a rev limiter sound clip which kind of hides this issue.

Not sure I'll ever fix that part unless I find a neat work around.

In the long run I just hope this makes someone skilled who really wants to dig into the small details of matching audio with the engine rpm.

I'll keep messing with it until then.

Hmm.. I think I actually just figured out a way to get a new sound added for in air full-throttle that will sound better!
(may even make be able to make it sounds better when throttled up for gate starts)

Hopefully i can get it pushed out for the weekend.   8)

EDIT: If anyone is interested I uploaded a quick version with the Panic Rev addition - sound is placeholder but its a neat workaround.

I basically added a rev limiter to trigger a file.

Thanks mate I'll try it out. I'm still processing the sound before I leave feedback... It takes a while lol

Danish_Gamer_Toke

does this work for the oem bikes and how to install?

BadStar

Only if using standard mxb tyres

Do OEM have diff tyres? If so I'll rebuild for oem

No worries.. once you try and use MaxSCL you will realise why the end result isn't "Badsyar, this is epic!".. bc it's not easy haha

NorCal 986

Do you install both? And just put folder in Bikes folder? It would be awesome if we could take the sounds from the new MXGP game, they are probably the best MX game sounds yet.

BadStar

Not both..

Link two just happens to have my test for "panic rev" sound when in the air and giving it full throttle. Just a test idea that I'll keep building on

NorCal,

Also. Getting sounds is easy.. the issue is that its directly connected to the engine/tyres physics. This is great for a true simulated sound but very hard to find the sound to fit the engine.

If the game was simply triggering audio files it would be a breeze to mod but less authentic. Whoever truly makes this game sound right with the way it actually works is a true hero and a badass lol
