You can also download it from MXB-Mods.com.  Use the search box at very top right of this website, search for "Compound" and it will pop right up.

I load into the game and try to join someone and it says missing track.

In the mx folder in tracks

did you only put it in the tracks folder? it needs to be in a subfolder of the tracks folder, ie /mods/tracks/motocross

But did you add it to Motocross or Supercross folders? I left mine outside of those folders since it is both an MX and SX Track try that it worked for me.
