Edit Specular or alpha maps?

I was wondering if we can alter an alpha map in the TGA file to change the specular (shine) on the bikes models?  Also was wondering if we can make some things semi transparent? (like the chest protector)

Is this planned or am I missing it?

I know snappe has said before that spec and norm maps are supported for the game. I would imagine if you could figure out how to get a skin in game you could most likely change the color of the chest protector. I may be working on getting some new protection stuff tonight if I can get stuff to work

Alright, ill do some testing and report back here what I find.  These bikes will really come alive when we can start to change the specular on the graphics and the decals and stuff.  I can see different shininess levels on some stuff... so like yourself, Im sure its possible.

The spec map is the alpha channel in the bike_n.tga, you can edit it there.

I could not find a bike_N.tga 
Only the Livery, Bike Parts and Onboard.  any advice?

I have no idea where to find them that is something to ask Piboso or Snappe.
